Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball

This book was our son’s favorite toddler books.

Great little story. My son & daughter loved it, so I bought a copy for my Godchild. Such a sweet ending. Kids will enjoy acting out the text or you can act it out for even the smallest to enjoy.

My daughter is a teen now and we still quote from this book. It was a big favorite when she was little. We often buy it as a gift. Such cute illustrations and an adorable story about a wombat who feels all sorts of different ways. Easy, sweet way to help children begin to understand all the things they feel.

Illustrations are colorful and cute, prose is simple and short. My daughter loves this book, it's a frequent bedtime request. Children appreciate consistent bedtime activities; ritual is comforting. This book maps out just such a process, and does so in a very sweet and gentle story.It's great for parents because it provides a structure for bedtime. The book describes and illustrates movements - curling up into a ball, jumping hard, shouting as loud as possible (once), standing still as a tree. My daughter acts out each page, as I suspect the author intended. And then the last two pages call for her to curl up and cuddle, and go to sleep.It's pitch perfect for a four year old, and I imagine would work well for three to five as well.

Cute, rhyming story and darling illustrations. My granddaughters loved it!

The hard cover version might have had more in it (it seems like it said something about swiming in that one, but maybe I am remembering wrong), but the board book version is lovely and just perfect for young toddlers. If it is a shortened version, they did a good job.

Absolutely LOVE this BOOK! My son would have BELLY LAUGHS when I read it to him. Miss those days so much! Giving it as a gift for an expecting mother who I hope loves it as much as I did!

I got this for my son who really loved this story, thankfully even though he has grown out of it now, my daughter loves it instead.It is a really lovely story that keeps the children happy and entertained, it is not too long which makes it a lovely bed time story book.A really good book to have in a child's collection.
