PSI CMG3C Mini Grip 4 Jaw Wood Lathe Chuck System

I had to return this product because it would not keep a grip on a simple project. I would get it in the chuck and as soon as I put chisel to it, it would fly off.

I received this chuck 3 weeks ago,delivered very quickly.However packaging was insufficient and the chuck had exited thru the side of the box on delivery.The Tommy bars are too soft for the action of the chuck.The threads in the chuck one inch 8tpi are too big for a small lathe and the insert is 3/4ins 14tpi, too fine a thread to fit most small lathes sold in Australia. Once we purchase a blank insert and have it threaded ,it is no longer a bargain!The action is good ,the jaws grip evenly and firm.The spare jaws are well made and fit well. Should have bought a Basic Nova at $45.00 and had it threaded!

So far so good. Fit my Shop Fox lathe perfectly. Used it a few times and no issues. The price can't be beat. 3 sets of jaws, adapter, and tools. Would buy it again if I had a need.

Looked solid but can't hold crap and extremely straining on my lathe, the chuck wobbles and doesn't have a true center

I bought this to use as a dedicated chuck for use with the PSI Cole jaws. It works just fine for that application.

This tool is versatile and well made. It did multiple jobs just as I'd needed. Glad I have this in my inventory of lathe tools.

took a couple days to take a look at this product and found a weird screw in a package instead of the adapter pieces. its not in the package contents either. Then i tried to take off the parts that came on it with one of the other jaws and the first screw was on so tight that it stripped teh screw trying to turn it off. now i cant change the jaws and can't use it at all. wtf . not overly pleased with this product.
