Great, except the glass beads make me cool and later warm.
This product is fantastic. I’ve slept with it for 5 nights and here are my impressions:Duvet covers: Perfect. One is a luxuriously soft blanket-like fabric on both sides (with the raised circles on the top side only), and the other is made of the same soft, light fabric sheets are made of on both sides. Both duvets are blue on one side and light gray on the other, with a long zipper along one end and several ties inside to tie to the little loops along the edges of the weighted blanket itself. The ties stay tightened very well.Weight: I weigh about 115 pounds and bought the 12-pound blanket. It feels great. When I first got in bed I immediately felt comfortable under it. It’s amazing. The amount of pressure is soothing.Size: The 48x72” size is perfect for me.. It doesn’t move around or let drafts of air in, so it doesn’t need to be bigger. In fact, I wouldn’t want it any bigger. It would be cumbersome to have it hanging over the sides of the bed, due to the weight. It keeps me warm because it stays diwn around me, but it doesn’t feel too heavy. Occasionally it feels heavy on my toes right after I get into bed. That is easily fixed by creating some height around me toes within the blanket.Temperature: even with the warmer duvet cover on, the blanket feels cool when I get into bed unless I warm up the blanket with a heating pad and turn up the heat in the room for a while before bed. Otherwise it sucks the heat out of me and I feel cold. When that happened the first few nights, I added some blankets on top. But then I fell asleep and woke up hours later blazing hot. The glass beads retain the heat longer than regular blankets, so it took a while for the blanket to cool down after I took it off me. Major sleep interruption! The same thing happened with the lighter, summertime duvet cover. So I learned to warm up the blanket before bed. I still start with an extra blanket, but I can remove it shortly—before I fall asleep.Bottom line, if you’re looking for a quality weighted blanket with two nice duvet covers, you’re safe with this one.I’m curious if beads of different materials prevent the cooling-heating problem. I can’t say.

Read if you have back pain!
Husband and I got each other weighted blankets for Christmas gifts, and the 20lb one was for him since he’s 6’4” and we followed manufacturer guidance. We have a king bed, and we each got the 60x80 which covers the bed fully when we put them side by side. To make it look less weird, I put a lightweight comforter over the blankets and it looks like a regularly made bed. Both blankets need to be the same size for it to work, otherwise it looks lumpy. This is probably the best weighted blanket bundle out there. One blanket with two duvets. The minky duvet is super soft and washes well. I really like that you can use it without the blanket! The cotton cover is soft, but I suspect it’s a pretty low thread count. I’m not complaining. Because it’s still very well made, and it’s a good weight if you tend to sleep hot.I have two small complaints about this set’s duvets, but they wouldn’t stop me from buying again:1. The zippers on the duvets are on the long side which doesn’t seem like a practical choice compared to other duvets.2. The duvet “ties” aren’t sewn/finished at the ends, so they fray and are hard to tie to the blanket if you don’t knot them before washing.Side note for weighted blankets: I use a 15lb at 5’4” for sleeping, but I like the feeling of this 20lb for lounging on the couch. My husband has an old spinal injury, and after 3 months, he’s found that the 15lb is more helpful sleeping for his nerve pain. 20lb is the recommendation for his size, but we’ve decided it’s too heavy and causes more pain. It DEFINITELY helps with that kind of pain at night, but you’re going to have to play around with it a little to find the right weight.

It helps me sleep, simple as that
I was both curious and skeptical about the utility of weighted blankets/comforters, but a recent Amazon sale convinced me to at least give it a try.I won't say it changed everything, but I'll admit it does make it easier for me to fall asleep. Took about a week or two to adjust to the way it felt... the 1st night, I actually think I struggled against the weight because I had a few sore muscles in the morning. But that didn't happen again. Since then, it's been more like a feeling of being swaddled or tucked in.I sleep hot, so yes, more often than not, by morning I've pushed aside the weighted blanket but that's not the point. The real point is it helped me fall asleep in the 1st place, and for a chronic insomniac like myself, that's kind of a big deal. I did replace the standard cover with the "cooler" one and it's better. I wouldn't term this blanket to be "cooling", but it does take quite some time to heat up. The one main hassle was after I washed the cover for the 1st go, it took a lot of effort to retie the inner bead-enclosed part inside the cover. It's quite clumsy. But once done, it seems to stay put pretty well.I'd say the main thing about a weighted blanket or comforter is don't get one that's too big. If it hangs very far over the edge or foot of your bed, normal nighttime movement will cause it to fall off. I'm using one that's "just big enough" and it usually stays put (until I push it away).Pros:- Weight does remain pretty evenly distributed, although if too much goes over the side or foot, it can pull away. Occasionally I've found the blanket seemed to be heavier on one side or the other. Not a deal-breaker, but it needed adjusting.- Doesn't get hot very fast, but it will warm after enough hours of being under it- After 2-3 nights, the weight becomes quite comforting; I actually look forward to it- It's even nice to use on a recliner or sofa, as I've tried a few times- Manufacturing quality seems good- No bad odors that I noticed, beyond the usual "new fabric" smells; a single laundering of the cover took care of thatCons:- Not very easy to put the blanket back inside the comforter cover once removed.- Be nice if there were more colors; my bedding is maroon but that's not an available option for this blanketWould I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, particularly if it on sale. Advice I'd give: Be sure to get the right weight and size for your bed situation.

Great product !
The thing I like the most about this blanket is that it gives me the cozy feeling no matter how cold my room temperature is.
