Beautifully illustrated and written. Simple words for children to understand and learn. We got this to read to our little one on our first backyard camping adventure. Wonderful book. Review: Nature leaning - I've reviewed several of these biscuit books. However, this One was very special. I was visiting my daughter in Ohio and one dusky evening The fireflies were out like crazy. My 4 yr old granddaughter had never been up late enough to see them so she had no knowledge of what they were. They were mentioned in the book. when we got home from dinner one night, fireflies were everywhere. She got to see them close up and immediately remembered reading about them in the book. I loved this teachable moment.

Nice Book!
Good short story, perfect for bedtime. My kiddo loves this book and we read it every night. Pages have good color, given that it's set at night. Vibrant sky and stars.

Perfect length, perfect difficulty
My son is a reluctant early reader, and the Biscuit books are some of the few easy readers we have found that don't frustrate him. The vocabulary is easy, unlike many other children's books (surprisingly!) and words are repeated frequently so he can really learn them. Highly recommend the whole series, but I give it four stars because having the Kindle version be more expensive than the paperback is simply a rip-off, sorry. At the same price ($2.75) I would have bought the whole series on Kindle, but at 5 bucks a pop, no thanks!

Super cute book
My son absolutely loves these biscuit books. He's three years old and he requests biscuit books every night before bedtime. I thought he would enjoy this one because we did a lot of camping over the summer, and I was right. He's in love with this book! I did think it would be more of an actual camping story, and it wasn't quite that. It was more about setting up bedding in their back yard, but still cute.

We are HUGE biscuit fans. My 5 year old was really struggling with learning to read and just lacking a lot of reading confidence. Biscuit books are the only books she reads happily and willingly. They are simple stories with enough of a story line to keep her interested and feel accomplished. They contain a lot of sight words and larger words usually have a picture cue to help with sounding out. Some phrases repeat throughout the book but not often enough to make the book boring or redundant. They also have “sound words” that are fun and easy to say and reinforce the idea of sounding out and each book has a different sound(or two) to accompany biscuits own “woof”. I’m starting to buy all the biscuit books I can find to help encourage her to learn to read. Other “my first shared reading” books require a lot of help, but she can read these independently on her first try. Please keep making more. Biscuit books are hugely responsible for my daughter learning to read!
