Quality, Versatile Monitor
The media could not be loaded. I really like this monitor! It’s nice and big, which makes everything easier to see. It’s not TOO big, though, and fits comfortably on my desk next to my laptop (which I plug it into to use as a second screen). The cords fit in snugly and the display doesn’t flicker when they get shifted around (demonstrated in video, if you can make out the screen), which is a problem I’ve had with other monitors. When you have it propped up, its stand is about 7 ½ inches (18 ½ cm) front to back. It fits perfectly everywhere I’ve ever wanted to set it up, but I figured I’d include that info in case anyone wanted to check how much space it takes when in use. It’s got tons of video options that you can navigate through with the four long buttons on the right side. I’m a big fan of all the customization, and especially appreciate the blue light filter. Fun tip – if you press the second-from-the-top button, it shortcuts to adjusting the brightness, and if you press the second-from-the-bottom button, it shortcuts to adjusting the volume. There are plenty of ports to choose from to connect your display, and since it gets power from a type C, I can still use the thing even if I lose the cord that comes with it. The monitor ships with a brick for the power cord, but I just plug the USB A side into my laptop and it works great. It has a second C port you can use to connect a display, too. I tried it with my Samsung phone, and it works with DeX, which is a nice option to have. The monitor has a power button so you can leave it plugged in even when its off, and it won’t be flashing a screen saver or anything. I had a monitor that used to do that, which makes me appreciate how nice it is to be able to close my laptop and have this monitor turn off, too.The only nitpick I have is that the colors aren’t as vibrant as some of the screens in my life, but I could probably finagle the options to make them better. The color quality is as good as my desktop, which is completely functional, so I’m not docking its rating for that.Overall, it’s a very versatile monitor. It works great as a permanent fixture but is also easy to pack up and set out anywhere you go, and there are a ton of options for what you plug into it and the display settings. I would recommend it, if you’re looking for one!

Perfect Screen For Any Project or Prototyping
This is the second Roadom monitor I have purchased. I initially purchased the 10.1 inch monitor for a small project and it worked better than I could have asked for. I have used the 10.1in monitor nearly every day for a few months now and I haven’t had any issues. The screen is incredibly clear, the touchscreen is very responsive, and the sound from the speakers is great.Due to my experience with my first monitor, I decided to purchase a second smaller monitor for small projects/ prototyping. The 7in screen is just as great as the 10.1in one. I initially thought images would be harder to visualize with the smaller screen, but I was wrong. The image clarity, colors, and screen responsiveness is just as good as the 10.1in screen. The sound on the 7in screen is also just as good as the 10in screen. One thing I really like about this kit is that it offers you many different configuration options. You can either mount the pi directly to the screen or use it as a standalone monitor. The vast array of cables that come with the kit allow you to power the screen in multiple different ways (from the USB port of the pi, using GPIO, or with an external power supply). Additionally, the ribbon cables that come with the kit allow you to discretely connect to the PI for a low-profile setup.Lastly, and possibly the best feature about this screen/ROADOM is their customer service. I had reached out customer support multiple times by email to obtain specs about the screen and to obtain dimensions for a custom screen case I was building. ROADOM replied very quickly and answered all of my questions. The only downside I found with this kit is that you can’t control the screen’s brightness using the pi’s software (The physical buttons on the back must be pressed to control the brightness), but this is far outweighed by the screen’s quality and configurability. I would recommend this screen for any small project or even a small prototyping station.

Basically everything I expected, had to bring my own HDMI though!
The media could not be loaded. I did not buy this to use a raspberry pi, but instead bought it to display chat and streams on a screen that doesn't take up alot of space. Extremely happy with the results here! So, upon opening the box, I was pretty surprised by how well everything was packaged! For as cheap as it is, it's got a nice unboxing experience, and comes with plenty of screws and cords and connectors, and even a mini screwdriver so you can put it together without worry! Even has a power outlet unlike a new cell phone..Setup was very simple, but I had to use one of my own micro USB because only 1 was long enough, however, this is made for a raspberry pi so I can't be very upset. Screws went in super easy for the feet, feels pretty stable. Definitely wish it had some kind of protective backing/ I could buy it with a protective backing! I also had to use my own HDMI because the cord that comes with this is a HDMI to Mini HDMI, but the screen and my PC use regular HDMI. Idk why it would come with those because it also comes with ways to connect the monitor straight to the raspberry pi. Just be prepared with your own cables is all I'm saying, I figured since it was for a raspberry pi that I'd have to do this. After setup, turning it on is easy and powering on is faster than my main monitor. It instantly worked with windows 10, no drivers needed, I was able to use the touch screen after setup in the control panel, but it doesn't seem pixel accurate, some things just feel just slightly off, but scrolling and playing and pausing works fine, although, I may have not calibrated it perfectly. The screen looks alright, not extremely bright even on the brightest setting, and the screen does reflect alot, but for the price I wasn't expecting better and was honestly prepared for worse, colors look nice enough and it's 60 hz. For less than $90 dollars, it's totally worth it, just to watch a stream while I play a game on my PC.
