Important To Have On Hand At Home
I bought these bags recently in order to transport specimens from my home to the local labs for testing. Anything coming into contact with body fluids must be transported in a special container such as this bag. Usually, a health care provider handles specimen collections in their offices, then takes to the lab, or they put in an outside metal container to be picked up by the lab. I have found, over the past 20 years, most providers do not even collect specimens anymore & don't carry urine cups or culture equipment to get specimens from patients. I have been "nursing" several sounds on my leg since June, & the 2 different providers who took cultures months apart, contaminated my leg AND the specimen by touching the un-ulcerated skin AFTER swabbing the wound. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE & my leg got infected on other 3 sides of leg as a result of 1st idiots screw up! I am a retired RN & have gotten many cultures from patients over 25 years, so I decided to do it all myself. My primary doc has agreed to give me a lab request & I'll transport the specimen carefully in one of these above bags to the lab after putting that bag in a outer bag to get from home to cab to lab. I'm so glad these bags are readily available for use in the home. They have a zip lock type closure to prevent spillage & are nice & thick. Thank you so much!

Fun and functional
I used these as gift bags for my daughter’s fairytale/quarantine themed birthday. They are a little small, but we have small gifts out. Then had a second bag for the piñata.Kids didn’t get it but the parents thought it was funny. Jersey sarcasm.

Got these as a decoration for a themed graduation party they're nice but just know they are very small! ideal for small specimens, Not so great as a goodie bag. But still nice for the hazard logo!

Product listing photos are very misleading about the size
These bags are tiny - you couldn't fit a cell phone into one. In the images they are big enough to fit a hand into but that is very much not an accurate representation of them. I put a standard sized q-tip in one for a photo so you can get a more accurate idea.That aside, they are sturdy, and they feel pretty good quality. So be aware that they are small when purchasing and you should be safe!
