A GREEN ink--what I wanted
This is a vivid green, not a chartreuse, but green. It flows freely and works on all the papers I have used so far. What more can I ask for? So far, I have used this and Noodler's Black, waterproof, which is definitely black, not dark gray. I may get the Heart of Darkness green now for when I want a darker green. The beauty of Noodler's inks are that they are not so expensive you feel guilty about having a lot of colors in your inventory. I am using the Forest Green in a Lamy Al-Star with fine nib. I think I am going to try it in an extra fine--it flows really well and if I pause, it tends to leave a bigger deposit than the black does from my Safari with the extra fine nib, so I don't have as even a script as I prefer, but that is my form, not the ink, I think. Ah, the beauty of using a converter instead of cartridges. Next, I want to select one of Noodler's blues. I really like blue ink, more like cobalt than a sky blue, if you can visualize that. I am using a Lamy blue, but it just isn't quite the right shade, and it tends to spread or feather on lower grades of paper, like my pocket calendar, so even the extra fine nib is a challenge with some papers when I want to write small. The Noodler's inks work just fine on the lower grades, as well as on the better. I haven't tried other brands yet, except for Schaeffer cartridges in another pen and it works pretty well on the lower grade papers too. You can't go wrong with Noodler's ink. And, the ink came quickly, much sooner than predicted.

Very nice ink
A very nice ink that dries permanent. It is a very nice dark green. Does not work well on cheap cold press papers, but is very nice on bright reflective stock. I use this with a Lamy fountain pen and a converter. Works quite nicely. The only problem I have had was not with the quality of the ink, but of the shipping. I had to buy locally because the bottle that was sent to me was broken in transit. (This problem is supposed to be fixed now. I hope so at least.) Amazon was very good about refunding me for the damaged bottle, so it worked out. This ink goes very well with the green aluminium Lamy fountain pen. Exactly what I was expecting.
Another stunning color from Noodler's ink. I always am a little nervous when choosing another color of ink to purchase because sometimes they are not what the color sample on line looks like. This was spot on with what I was hoping for a dark green with a hint of black, I think it would be safe to call it green-black. I assume this is probably why they don't ask my input for names when designing the colors. I have become a fan of Noodler's ink not only for the great colors or the fact that I really enjoy the way the inks I have used write so nicely, but their sound business practices. The bottles are as full as they can possibly be because they buy industry standard bottles so the manufacturers can't jack the prices on them. If the manufacturers decide to then they buy bottles else where. I enjoyed reading this statement on their web site "We believe the product is ink and that the glass bottle serves as the product container...and that our customers are buying it because every bit of value has been concentrated in the ink and its properties (not a flashy bottle with a limited glass form that is subject to single glass manufacturer price increases!)."I think the over all experience from purchasing to writing is great with this company. I hope you enjoy using their products as much as I do.

Forest Green is a real trip
After several days of experimenting, I am still trying. Everything good said by the reviewers is spot on. I can't get enough of the color, the classy look, the way it decorates each document, truly a beauty. My challenge is getting it to perform in an XF nib. Works great in "fine" nib Sheaffer, but line is broader than I want. Hits the wall in either of my XF Lamy's: one Safari and one Al-star...the latter seems to be just too dry to handle this ink while the Safari XF does barely ok and it's really straining to provide a good flow and smooth performance. Would like to keep this ink loaded in an XF pen and ready to go, but Lamy's don't seem to be the right XF for Forest Green. Don't have same problem with the XF's and other inks such as Noodlers Black, Lamy Blue, Lamy Black. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Forest Green. The dryness challenge just adds to the experience!1/4/12 UPDATE: Unwilling to give up on this great ink, I now have the perfect combination. Lamy's Vista with F nib is a slighty wetter writer, just enough to compensate for this ink's dryness. The outcome is an excellent flow and smoothness and a line that is so close to EF you can't tell the difference. Could not get the best result from other Lamy's (Safari or Al-Star) or my Sheaffer Targa wet writer. Just needed some patience and persistence and Vista F.

Extraordinaria tinta
