Desert PepperSalsa - Roasted Tomato Chipotle Corn, Medium - 16 oz

I bought this at a Seaside market and just loved the chipotle flavor and richness, lots of corn and tomatoes, just the right hotness (medium). Not too sweet like so many special salsas! So I bought a case from Amazon so I won't run out !

Do you know one of my pet peeves? Reading a label saying hot or medium hot--and then eating something that is hardly close to "hot." I like the taste of this salsa. It went well with the tortilla chips that I was munching.The ingedients suggest that this is a healthy salsa. Fat and cholesterol are all at 0%.BUT--where is the medium hot? If a producer of food says hot, then there ought to be some heat. I feel somewhat cheated with this product, even though it tastes good. So, tasty, but not medium hot!

I like this salsa better than any other I've had. Too bad I can't find it in local groceries, and have to order it.

Wonderful tomato flavor with touch of smoke and spice. Nice consistency for dipping. Would buy again!

I had been wanting to try this salsa for awhile and came across it in a local store. Upon first opening it, it smells very nice. The taste is no different, very smooth and fresh. Its a good mix of savory and sweet. Its hard to describe, but there are no overpowering flavors, its all very well blended. The corn is probably my favorite part, I have never had a corn salsa and this is no disappointment! The corn adds a bit of extra flavor, sweetness and texture. All the veggies are very tender.This salsa would be great on a taco or make it into nachos with cheese on top. I am looking forward to putting it on some foods and trying it with shredded cheese and sour cream. It does lack heat, it is not hot at all in my opinion. But, personally I don't care too much about the heat and would rather have good flavor. If you want it hotter, just throw some hot sauce on it. This salsa is better than any mainstream brands (Tostitos, Pace, etc) and if you like those salsas then you should try this. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

I have been using this as sauce with various dishes. Last week I cooked up some pasta and tossed it with some olive oil, vegetables and shrimp. Then I stirred in some of this salsa. Really good stuff. Last night I had some brown rice, vegetables and salmon dressed with some olive oil and this salsa. Yum.Fortunately my local supermarket carries this product at a much better price than Amazon.I'm hooked.
