Makes Coffee Taste The Way It Should Inside Your Reusable K-Cup !!!
The Ekobrew Stainless Steel Elite Cup, Refillable K-Cup For Keurig K-Cup Brewers by itself makes a very very good cup of coffee with very very little if any sediment at all (depending on grind). But, if you want the perfect economical most delicious cup of keurig produced coffee; I would recommend the use of the Optional Coffee Paper Filter for Ekobrew Single Serve Filter, 300 Count . The little practice possibly needed for some will pay off in how little coffee is now required to brew with, how easier it will now be to clean the reusable k-cup plus how enjoyable.your coffee will taste. I own and use a few of the other reusable k-cups on the market including: 1.Solofill K3 Gold (also available in Chrome)(for some reason not yet available on Amazon as of this review). 2. Melitta Javajig Reusable Coffee Filter System for Single Serve, 1.90 Ounce & 3. Perfect Pod Holster Use Any Pod in Your Keurig Coffee Maker - Over 10,000 Sold . All 4 of these items produce excellent tasting coffee using paper filters. Don't get discouraged though, the Solofill K3 Gold (also available in Chrome) produces a sediment free cup of coffee (no espresso grind without a paper filter) while the Ekobrew Stainless Steel Elite Cup, Refillable K-Cup For Keurig K-Cup Brewers produces excellent coffee with hardly any sediment (depends on grind and no sediment with a paper filter). The Melitta requires paper filters and produces very good tasting sediment free coffee. This reusable needs slight & easy assembling and disassembling although I.m.o. should not be cumbersome to most. the Perfect Pod Holster can be used with paper filters or coffee pods. I've used it both ways and both ways the PPH produced a very good tasting sediment free cup of joe. I can honestly recommend all of these items ranking the Ekobrew Stainless Elite and the Solofill K3 Gold the top honors (Options, Convenience & Taste ) with the Melitta JavaJig and Perfect Pod Holster as the runners up. Although they all may be considered pricey, all of these reusable k-cups are worth there weight in silver. Many people speak of weak, watery, sediment containing, gross tasting coffee, leaks and lack of pressure. Several things can contribute to these things.....Here are a few: I.m.o. these are either 1. Gasket issues ( Gasket located inside of top of keurig system k-cup opening ) 2. Non-use of a Paper Filter. 3. Coffee Type, Roast & Grind. Too Fine A Coffee Grind without the use of a Paper Filter (the use of a paper filter allows the use of a finer ground coffee which equates to even LESS coffee used and MORE money saved) 4. Again, In My Opinion, there needs to be pressure built into the k-cup so if there is space, you will probably have weak/watery coffee no matter what cup size (Use a Paper Filter and use LESS coffee. Also, it's ok to hold the handle down on the reusable when it's brewing just to make sure it builds a good seal). 5. Not cleaning or flushing your Keurig system (One thing about the Keurig, it Doesn't Look Pretty all the time when it's making the coffee...LoL. Remember, those coffee oils build up fast in, on and around your Keurig and can leach into other drinks while brewing & are extremely dense) ;0)) 6. Prime shows on display. (Do not continue to shut down the Keurig by the power switch while in mid-cycle unless it is an Emergency OR you just want to Shorten the Life Span of your Keurig. Understand that this machine is not built to constantly go through that. When that is done to your machine, you are doing several things... A. You are shutting the system down in mid-cycle (bad for the brain of the keurig as primitive as its brain may be & you might end up with a confused Keurig Display/System). B. You are leaving water in the system which can lead to scaling inside the system quicker than it normally would ( Whip out the White Vinegar ), LoL. C. You are disrupting the pump that pressurizes the system & If the pump breaks, you're done needless to say. As you may all very well know, there are plenty of videos on Youtube and info on the internet about these Keurig machines and reusable k-cups. B4 you buy, do your research and you'll be fine. By the way I use all of these items on a Keurig B70/78/79 Platinum. I Hope This Helps.

Near Perfect Fit and Minimizes Cleanup! - A must have for Ekobrew users that are in a hurry!
Here's what I like about these filters: - Fits almost perfectly in my Ekobrew Stainless Elite. - Easier to pour coffee into filter than expected. - Filters easier to use than expected. - Easier cleanup. - Less coffee grounds in Ekobrew screen - Less rinsing needed for cleanup. Saves water! - Less coffee grounds down the drain. - Filter keeps coffee grounds out of the Ekobrew screen - Adds about 5 seconds to the time it takes me to prepare Ekobrew for use, but saves about 2 full minutes of cleanup! These filters make cleanup much easier since wet brewed coffee sticks the filter instead of the Ekobrew. I just tap the the side of the Ekobrew and the filter w/ coffee inside "plops" right out! There are only a few grounds around the lid that I have to rinse under the faucet.<Helpful Hint: When you remove your Ekobrew from your Keurig, quickly rinse the outside of the Ekobrew under cold water for a few seconds to cool it off & make handling easier!>Here's what I wish were better about these filters: - Filters are packaged loose inside the box. No inside packaging of any kind. - I can only guess if there are actually 300 filters inside the box. (I believe there are, but who knows without counting?) - I wish the filters were packaged inside a plastic bag, at least, since the filter does come in contact with food! - I wish the filters were "cast" or more form fitting to the Ekobrew since they are specifically designed for the Ekobrew. - While the way the filters are packed reduces cost, the packaging actually looks cheap! - The filters still cost me around 5-cents each. (For me this is the price I Pay for easier cleanup & convenience.)In the end, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the product, but I still see room for improving both the quality & packaging of the filters. I WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE FILTERS with the hopes that their cost will go down and overall quality, fit, and finish in manufacture and packaging improves!

These are great filters and fit very well in the stainless steel ...
These are great filters and fit very well in the stainless steel Ekobrew holder. They keep the sediment out of the coffee and keep the oils from building up inside the filter holder. They are easy to use and fairly easy to remove from the holder. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is that, without a cover or flap, the filter grounds will get caught on the top of the Ekobrew holder strainer. These grounds wash out very easily and there are not many of them. However, I have a septic field, so I try to limit the amount of solids that are washed down the sink drain. The benefits are the lower price, they appear to be made in the USA, they fit the holder well, and they remove fairly easily.I compost the grounds and filter papers, so this makes it much easier. I still buy some K-cups, but I only use them occasionally since I deconstruct each one to compost the filters and papers and then stack the plastic cups (they are not recyclable in this area) to minimize the space required in the landfill. This takes much longer than preparing the Ekobrew holder and filter. I keep a couple of small drink containers with pour spouts and tight seals next to my Keurig that have my favorite coffees, so it's easy to fill to the desired level, tamp it down and brew. I have made my own filters (see YouTube for examples), but that is timely and the filters don't hold up as well. These work very well and seem to hold up better, so they are worth the additional cost. The one thing I have done is take some larger filters and cut them in pieces to go on top of these filters after adding the ground coffee. That solves the problem of needing the rinse the grounds out of the top.

Awesome & Well Worth It
Pros:- Save quite a bit of time on clean up- Eliminates the nasty sludge usually found at the bottom with the last drink (worth it for this reason alone)- This may be me being foolish but I actually find it makes a nicer and smoother cup of coffee- Works in my Save & Brew cups so I'm assuming they can be fairly universal (given the machine design this makes sense anyways)Cons:- Requires a bit of pushing down or "custom fitting" around the nubs in the cups and becomes overlapped in places once it is inserted down far enough for the lid to shut (not a deciding factor on whether to buy or not, not a huge issue). This also makes for a little less coffee being able to fit in the cup. (I haven't noticed a negative impact because of it though)I really appreciate these things and will never go without them now that I have tried them, definitely recommended.

Thumbs up on this item!
These filters do well to help eliminate the coffee ground residue left in your cup by the 'fill your own ground coffee' type of pod. Clean up is considerably easier when using these filters and I would recommend them for both of these reasons.Depending on which brand of self fill pod you have, you may need to push the filter down into the bottom cavity to maximize the amount of coffee ground you can fill but do not overfill to avoid over the top spillage. With a bit of experimentation these produce a wonderful cup of coffee and are a great benefit to those who like a quick clean up.

The filters received this time are not the same as ...
The filters received this time are not the same as those previously received. They are made of a denser, stiffer paper and, as a result, do not settle into the holder as well. The upper lip of the filter interferes with the closing of the lid of the holder and I have taken to trimming that part of the lip off. I did not have to do this with the filters previously received. The added thickness for paper also means the coffee percolates through at a much slower rate. The overall taste of the coffee is not affected, so these filters are adequate, but more inconvenient to use. I do not know if this is the result of an error on my part in ordering, or the result of a design change in the filters.

Pure Coffee
I found this item to really help make a fine cup of coffee. It removes the final dregs that may escape the micro filter on the Ekobew cups that tend to leak through any of the metal screen type filters. The filters overlap the lid on the cups so, I'm not sure if there is any extra wear on the lid seal. There has been no problem so far though after a month of use. They make cleaning the brew cups a snap. Just pop out the used coffee filter and rinse the lid. Your ready to go for the next cup.

non Keerig filters
I really like this product as I have also purchased the containers.Firstly I can tailor the amount and taste of coffee to my preferenceSecondly I save a lot of money over even Presidents Choice or Melita or K's pre fills (the filter is a half a cent - the coffee works out to less than 10 - enough said.I feel better because I keep the grounds and used filter in a plastic container which I will put in the compost bin.A caveat -- newer Kuerig machines have or will be designed to reject these non k things. When mine breaks I will revert to the Melita cones and do the same thing -- this might be easier on electricity because I only boil water when I need.
