The pens actually write pretty well, but you get what you pay vote with the rest. The clip doesn't clip very well because it's the mechanism for releasing the spring and retracting the pen; consequently, you have to over extend the clip to get it to hook on your pocket (by the way, I think clipping these pens to a clothing item long term will probably cause a lot of wear and tear to the clothing item, but I haven't had them long enough to know for sure). The plastic is pretty brittle, so you end up breaking it off within a week of regular use. You can use the pen afterwards by using a finger nail to retract the nib, but if you're anything like me, this will quickly become very tedious, and you'll have to dig through your pocket to find it because you can't clip it to anything. The pen casing is sealed shut, so you can't use them as simple cartridge replacements for better quality pens either without breaking open the pen. I wouldn't buy this product again.

Never purchase a pen from the lowest price seller. I put 5-6 of these pens in my suit pocket before I go to court. At least one of them will probably work for a while. The rest just get thrown away, they're useless.

Worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. The pens don't write.
