Using it every day to improve my putting.
Using this device to improve my putting. So far the software is very good. Phone connects to sensor via Bluetooth. Lots of metrics available on your putting stroke. Software tracks and trends your metrics over time. Software includes improvement videos and practice drills. Quick response from customer service....software would not recognize sensor initially. I emailed Blast Golf customer support and they responded within an hour with a fix. Can be used with all your clubs not just putter.

Non Functioning "Air Swing" is disappointing.........
This is a great device from the standpoint of actual use on the range. The area that is disappointing is in the "Air Swing" function. I purchased this primarily for use at home as it advertises that you can make swings without a ball and it will record the metrics of your swing. To date, I have not had the ability to do so. The app says I need a firmware update. Thinking it might be the sensor on my first iteration, I returned it for a replacement unit. Same song, different verse, The app also has a firmware update function (which is nonfunctional), so, I now have a product that I paid 100% of the price and have 75% of the functionality. I have contacted support several times (by phone they just tell you to leave your email address, no real human answers the phone) and it seems like my emails are now falling into the trash. I have gotten acknowledgements that there is an issue with firmware upgrades through the app and they do not have a resolution date. Once again 75% functionality. I have asked " How do I get a sensor with the current update firmware? " And have gotten no response. I have even gone so far as to message the VP of customer satisfaction on Linkedin and once again, nothing. I beleve this a very cool and helpful device if your are using it on the range or anywhere that you are actually striking a golf ball. The attaction, and letdown, for me has been the Air Swing feature. My hope is that someone at Blast acutally reads this review and can help me get the firmware update I need, at which point I will happily adjust my rating of this product.

Game-Changer for Golfers of All Levels
The Blast Golf Swing and Stroke Analyzer has been an incredible tool for our family. Originally recommended by our daughter’s college golf coach, it has been a game-changer for improving her putting tempo. Its real-time feedback and data are easy to understand, making it a valuable asset for fine-tuning her game. We were so impressed that we purchased additional units for other family members in high school, helping them refine their skills as they work toward playing at the college level. The analyzer’s versatility and accuracy make it ideal for golfers at any stage. If you're serious about improving your game, this is a must-have!

Comparing with Swingtalk
Compared with Swingtalk, it has the following pros and cons: Pros: (1) Coordinate with video taken from IOS devices to show swings without human interfaces once it is started; (2) More stable sensor placed on a club but it still moves in a less amount during impacts; (3) Store swing data in the sensor when no device is connected; (4) The battery last much longer than Swingtalk; Cons: (1) No intermediate response from IOS with speech such as Swingtalk. You have to go to the device to check your swing data; (2) Less swing data shown as compared with Swingtalk; (3) Only works on driver and putter. It is not true that it can work on irons because there is no such a selection in the app and if we choose to swing an iron by selecting driver option, then the data, such as swing speed, shown would be incorrect because of incorrect data of the club length etc; (4) Difficult to align the sensor with the club face perfectly. As suggested to Swingtalk, the device should be able to show the club face angle on the device when the user considers the angle is square or zero so that the user can adjust the device to match with the sensor;

No documentation, very cumbersome to use. Blast exploded after takeoff.
The technology is excellent. A lot of information, but you need a PHD to understand how to use the device and how to make the most of it. Zero documentation in the package, and no reference to where instructions could be found. Why make it a challenge for the customer? Some simple directions and information from the start would have been very helpful. The website is not supportive of Blast, but Blast Connect, which took me a while to figure out that Blast Connect was a monthly subscription service, and not helpful for the basic Blast user. Had to call customer service to find out an on line manual even existed. Seems this is the wave of current marketing, the assumption that everyone can instantly interpret new tech easily. Unfortunately, we are not all 20 somethings techno geeks who speak the same language as the developers. For the cost of a simple insert in the package, it might have changed everything for me. I doubt Blast ever used focus groups to test their product's simplicity of use, and truly listen to customers from all demographics and age groups. One call to customer service was answered and gave me some direction. A follow up call transferred me to a robot that said I would get a call back. Never happened. The rubber cap that holds the device is very cumbersome to use. Not easy to transfer from club to club, and is heavy so it changes the swing weight of the club like adding a counter weight to a putter, wedge or iron. Data was extensive once you get to swing a club and collect some data. Using it efficiently, changing from one club to another was annoying and not doable on the course during a practice round, and made the experience less about understanding the important metrics and more about how to fumble with the device and your phone prior to a swing while your buddies wait. Gave up after trying to do an on course session 3 times. I honestly spent a lot of time trying this product and wanted it to work, but finally gave up. With minimal effort Blast could have kept me as a customer. I'm a 1 handicap and aware of the value of understanding critical metrics, but the battle wore me down. If you try this product, be ready to invest some time to learn the technology or it will end up in your spare drawer of unused gadgets.

Great Putting Analysis
I purchased this item to help me with my putter face at impact to roll the ball on my line. Not knowing that there are several other metrics that are useful. I have not used it for my short game or full swing yet due to surgery. For now, I plan to work on my game in reverse. I highly recommend this Swing and Stroke Analyzer due to how close to accurate it is. Not to verse on the metric numbers but Customer Service sent me a range guide of the metrics to identify where the average should be. It also rates your performance on a handicap system. Customer Service can initially be contacted via and quick to respond back email or phone call. Highly Recommend the Blast Golf Swing and Stroke Analyzer.

BAIT AND SWITCH: SUBSCRIPTION NOW REQUIRED
I purchased the Blast Golf sensor in 2024, and it was great at first. It allowed me to hit putts daily, especially during breaks from work, letting me seriously focus on my putter face control and tempo. The best part? No membership or subscription was required which was the ENTIRE REASON I SELECTED BLAST—that is, until today. I hadn't used the sensor for a few months due to an injury, but I was finally ready to get back to work on my putting. BAIT AND SWITCH: SUBSCRIPTION NOW REQUIRED After just 15 putts, a pop-up appeared: I had apparently hit my daily limit of 15 "swings". Fifteen? Putts? Are you kidding me? If I want stats on than 15 putts a day, I am now forced to pay for a subscription. Otherwise, the device is totally uselesss. I cannot recommend this product at all anymore, especially considering the huge upfront cost for the sensor itself. If a company is going to charge what amounts to a "rental" or subscription fee, then the product itself should be free. I would give this 0 stars if I could for the blatant and unconscionable bait and switch with no warning or grandfathering in for previous users. BUYERS BEWARE. Who knows what the future will hold with this company? Will the monthly fee double? Triple? Will you soon only get 5 "free" putts a day? 1? 0? THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Absolute garbage.

Best value training aid out there
Very impressive piece of kit for the money. Best used for putting which measures everything you need to know about your stroke. Also good for angle of attack and tempo for chipping and even with the long game it is useful to compare the angle of attack for your driver compared to irons. It would be great if they had a sensor or adapter that could screw into the SuperStroke CounterCore putter grips.

sept 2021. this device is awesome! it got updates.
i must say based the reviews i read here and on the play store, i was hesitant to buy this device. but i am sure glad that i did. it's amazing. i really only wanted it for putting, but it works on my irons and driver as well, to give some rudimentary data on swings. and just today it got a major software update which gives the long awaited short game and bunker update! it looks like you might have to pay for that, but we'll see. as far as putting, it's a great device to get your putts mechanically the same every time. that level of consistency is what makes a great putter, and i think this device is wonderful in that regard. ultimately i am glad i purchased the blast motion sensor, and so far in a few weeks, i have hit at least 3000 putts and it hasn't had any issues at all.
