This is the dorm and travel trunk to go with.
BAM! This is one strong, well-built trunk. I bought this trunk for my son who is going away to college. It arrived in perfect condition and was packed very well. This trunk has 6 latches, with two in the front that accept a common lock, combination or key. I love the double added security. There is a nice seal around the inside of the trunk and while I have not thrown this trunk in a river, I am sure it is weather tight. I am very happy I did not go with the pressed particle board-type trunks. The Iron Brick is so much more solid and of good quality -and yes, it looks a whole lot cooler with plenty of interior space. This trunk has snap-back (spring) handles on both sides of the trunk and built in quality wheels, for easy one-person transit. This trunk will go the distance and will serve my son's needs for years to come, whether in the dorm or travelling.

UNBELIEVABLE !!!
SOLID AS A ROCK...YOU CAN LOAD IT WITH HEAVY TOOLS ...SEAL THE LOCKING MECHANISM...AND STORE IT AT THE BOOTOM OF YOUR POOL!!!Yes it's expensive...But you get what you pay for.Sent one to Honduras during the rainy season and the stuff inside was completely dry when it got there!Good thing it has wheels because you definitely don't want to lift it after you overload it ( and you will) with stuff !!!

Super tough trunk.
This thing IS a brick. Solid. Purchased it for my son's summer camp adventure and it is already covered in stickers. It is now our go to for weekend trips for both our boys. Plenty of room for clothes gnd all important electronic devices. The lid is easily opened and closed by our 9 yr old. Has a sturdiness that makes me confident this thing will last for years.I think I might purchase another (or 2) for all our camping supplies. Great product!

Iron brick truck
My husband is a project manager, managing projects all over the world. He uses these types of trunks to ship and secure his tools, safety equipment and other job items. He reports that this one is particularly good as it is sturdy. It has wheels on one end and can be secured with padlocks. I don't really have much other info on it from him... however, I never hesitate to update reviews with new info that might be useful. We have prime, but this was not a prime shipped item and it took about 10 days to arrive on job site in Texas. We do NOT receive compensation of any kind for our reviews.

NO AIR VENT??
took the 3 boxes I purchased direct from the manu on a 2 hour trip in Northern California. we left in 70 degree weather and arrived at around 55 degree weather. not excessive by any stretch. I go to open one and it has such a vacuum inside the lid is bowed about 1" in and I cant open it. So you make a airtight container and have no pressure release valve? I contacted the company and they are saying I am using it in an excessive environment and they cannot offer a way to open the damaged box. LOL. So I now need to carry a prybar with me everywhere I go now if I use these boxes? should have went Pelican case.

Not a truck or job box
This may be a good trunk for a kids clothes but it has limited uses. I put it in the back of a truck to use as a truck box. The thing leaks like a sive. It was continually full of water. I sat on the top and noticed it bowed down (cupped). I am 200 lbs. The lock hasp has a very small hole making putting a decent lock on it impossible. This thing is NOT a job box. Works great tossing around in grass in the video but it is clearly empty. The handles are nice but have strong springs in them. They snap against the box with some force, watch your fingers. I am sure it's ok for dorm use but not as tool or truck box. Stronger boxes are needed for tools.

Built to last
Best investment for my kid in college. It's very sturdy and he loved it. It has wheels and you can lock it up. Multiple people can sit on it, with no worries.
