An excellent learning resource.
This is a lovely little study book from CGP. The cover photo of the Colorado River is glorious and the content is very well laid out and illustrated with many beautiful photos and excellent graphics. It is clear and very easy to understand and to follow and would make a super text or accompanying resource to a text or class content for children. I love that the book encourages ecological responsibility as well as exploration of rivers local to the child. It is an excellent learning resource. The only issue I see with it, which may be to do with the curriculum being for children from 7-11, is that the content is not very challenging to a child with an enquiring mind as they get towards 10 and 11 years old. Basically, it may be a bit 'young' in scope and depth for some of the older kids. So, if you have an older child, best 'look inside' to see if it sparks their engagement with the content, before you buy.

Brilliant and colourful resource for KS2 Geography-Rivers
This is a great resource to use with geography education as it is bright, colourful and engaging. It is also pretty brilliant in its coverage of the topic allowing for both summary and depth study of the different factors and studying how Rivers can be similar and different between different continents. I am really impressed with these books as a former teacher and will use this in conjunction with other sources for home Educating our daughters and I would certainly buy more in this series too.

Good educational book
A well illustrated book with lots of information relating to rivers without causing an information overload for the target age. The water cycle is studied in Y5 at my child's school and this book was interesting for us to look over.

A short fun book to learn about geography and rivers for ages 7-11
This compact study book keeps geography and rivers fun. Its colourful illustrations have elaborate details about how rivers come into existence, Aspects of geology and geography and snippets of history and how rivers have changed over time. This book is smaller than what i am used to, So it is more like a short but fun read, But it does have an entertaining aspect that will keep a child's attention much longer than a long-winded geography book. The book itself is interactive, Giving facts and asking questions. This book is definitely a good way to ease a 7-11 year old into Geography, Geology and History.
