Best pens
These pens are amazing. My daughter who is a senior is using these pens this year and they are working great. They are durable for those late night study sessions. The sharpness is outstanding. She really enjoys the grip that the pencils have for those late night study sessions. They are such a good value for money. They help you have very accurate hand writing.

Arrived on time, thin, good weight
I really liked that this pencil was thinner than my old one because I can use it for a longer time without my hand cramping. It also has a nice sturdy weight, it doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. The lead moves out very little when you click it but, although lightly irritating on occasion, is good because if you have a lot of lead sticking out when you write it breaks really easily. I only click it twice each time the lead runs down and that has worked best for me. I do write with more pressure than necessary though so other might have the lead sticking out more without it breaking a lot. It comes with a little (its actually pretty long and sits in a metal holder so you can move it up as you use it if you choose) eraser which I don't use because I find the hassle of replacing them to be more than its worth. I also carry a thin pencil eraser and a larger block eraser with me because, as a student and constant doodler, I erase a lot. (and when you're taking notes in a lecture you don't always have the time to take the cover off the back of your pencil to erase a mistake). The eraser also has a little metal rod stuck into the bottom of it that is also .3 sized to use if you accidentally break of small pieces of lead and they're stuck inside the tip. The lead I'm currently using is HB but I'll probably start using B or 2B once I run out because I like the writing dark, and as stated earlier, its not very easy to write with a lot of pressure and not break the lead.

Pentel makes a good product.
This pencil is truly an instrument for writing. It is worth every penny. I bought this along with the Sharplet. They are both great, but the Graphlet is properly weighted and feels good to use. It works well and I am very happy with my purchase.

Great, except the grip is slick.
Love the style and feel of this pencil. The only criticism is the metal grip is a bit slick.

nice pencil, but many competitors out there
i write a lot, mostly technical stuff, drawings equations and the like.. like a pen or pencil that fits my hand and does not produce fatigue. this is a nice pencil very light. below are some stats on various pencil diameters. i will update with the weights soon.. here are some pencils i have tried. all pencils are 0.5mm. diameters are taken where my fingers hold pencil. all diameter in inches. GRAPHLET Pentel PG505 0.330 Draftmatic 0.315 Kurutoga metal 0.385 Kurutoga plastic 0.395 Uni Point 0.340 GraphGear 500 0.375 Pental P205 0.315 personally my favorite pencil is the DraftMatic and the no longer available UniPoint pencil. This Pentel pencil the PG505 and the old P205 are next. the Kurutoga Series is next the metal one is very heavy and they may work great for pure drafting. the Graphgear also falls in with the Kurutoga.. i'm 6'2" so my hand is bigger than some, this will change the ratings. The DraftMatic however is a very nice pencil and i have given away many as Christmas presents all well received. i also have switched from the traditional 0.5mm Pentel lead to NanoDia Uni 0.5 2B lead. it is noticeably smoother than the Pentel lead and others i have tried. The 2B leaves a nice trace in the Mead Cambridge Canary colored spiral notebooks i use for my laboratory notebooks. again i have tried many notebooks too. The 2B lead does not need a heavy hand and erases completely with the Pentel Hi Polymer Eraser. the notebook works well with roller ball pens as well. the Pentel Precise V5 pens, black is the smoothest with Purple next in line, the Pilot p-500 0.5mm black pen is also a very nice pen and leaves a clean line suitable for writing equations. both of these pens ink dry quickly. hope some of this helps kind regards and just a thought if you have a good pen or pencil keep it, if you have a marginal pen or pencil.. get a good one there are so many choices today...

My first mechanical pencil in the 80s
Nostalgic re-acquisition. It's fine, not brilliant, not bad. I most like the tiered design to the lead tube, for me it's the quintessential look for a drafting pencil.

Perfect for artist sketches b4 watercoloring
Best and thinnest lead mechanical pencils for sketching be for painting w water color. Lead is hearty resists breaking with pressure. A huge problem with other pencils.

Odd Grip.
This is not necessarily a negative review, but I would like to point out that if you are considering this, be aware that the grip is not of the gritty texture most commonly encountered in modern drafting pencils. It is made out of a polished stainless steel pattern, that takes some getting used to. This is the only negative aspect of the pencil. Other than that this is a perfect instrument that fits any collection. I've never experienced a breakage in its usage, which is pretty remarkable for 0.5 HB lead. It's available in most sizes from 0.3-0.9 so you're bound to find a size perfect for you. Happy shopping!
