ZERO stars! will nickel and dime you
they charge for everything & sales rep will tell you what you want to hear, using unethical tactics.the rep Jim Minshew in NC sells this is very nice tells you what you want to hear! POS system the basic is nothing you have to buy all the apps and pay extra monthly fees. The rep said I could try it for 60 days no fees except for the card charges. I tried for 30 days and sent it back and they gave me the hardest time to do that, transferred hundreds of times, they charged me to send it back (Jim Minshew sold it as no charge and obligation free to try). THANK GOD I TERMINATED BEFORE THE 60 DAYS). it took them 2 weeks to accept the return & I was told if they didn’t receive by the 60th day I would be charged more money). 2 months later and they are still charging my account another $75 dollars for what?? I use SQUARE and couldn’t be happier. I use what I need and the fees are plain and simple, what they say they charge and no constant debits of who knows what fees! so the 1 month I used CLOVER I made sure to limit my use CC charges, they were $1700 on customer credit card use and CLOVERS fees were a total of $221+ and I will be closing my bank account cause they keep charging my account. with SQUARE I used $1900 for Customer CC and the charged my account $53.01 you do the math!WARNING DO NOT USE CLOVER.!!!! I RATE CLOVER ZERO (0) STARS

Charge back fee
What Clover does not let you know when you sign up and it is in the contract is that they will charge you $25.00 charge back fee. So lets put this in perspective. You have a small sandwich shop and you have a charge back of 10.00. Clover will reverse the 10.00 charge and charge you 25.00. Wow....I don't know about you but that is a big hit...we pay .05 per transaction then the charges for MC and Visa then to be hit with a 25.00 charge back fee... When does it end. READ and ASK about the CHARGE BACK FEES! BUYER BEWARE

RUN!!!
I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE, YES, I AM YELLING! VERY UNSAVORY BUSINESS PRACTICES! MADE THE MISTAKE OF UPDATING TO CLOVER FROM A FIRST DATA SET UP. RETURNED THE OLD EQUIPMENT, IT WAS SIGNED FOR, THEY DENIDED RECEIVING IT AND CHARGED OUR CHECKING ACCOUNT $1700.00!! WE HAD TO FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL TO GET REFUNDED. OTHERS ARE RIGHT. YOU ARE SOLD A BILL OF GOODS AT FIRST. Ok, enough yelling for now. We were told that in November of 2019 our monthly payment would be reduced by over $100 yet when the time came the leasing company said no! and that we were obviously given incorrect information from Clover. The sales person who we dealt with first at First Data was fine until the problems started popping up then they became quite rude; the Clover associate was the same way. We are supposed to be able to click one button for call back help without having to jump through hoops but that feature only worked a handful of times. Believe us when we say: any coins you save using them is NEVER worth the bad customer service or bad business practices. Check them out on the Better Business Bureau website.

Stylish but lagging hardware performance
Pros:Stylish looks, swivel stand for tablet, super fast thermal printer.Cons:Cannot process the total cost of goods (for calculating profit) even when the cost has been entered into inventory.Fails to scan an item from time to time even it's already added to inventory.Scanner does not turn on or freezes.Completely shuts off from time to time even when the power supply is plugged in.

Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague!!! The system itself is passable, but lacks several of the features that our salesperson assured us would be available. The main issue is the Clover Customer Service. Trying to even access your account while speaking with a CS Rep is excruciatingly difficult! We were provided our Merchant ID number, which we enter each time we call. It never works (even though we have been told it is the correct number). So they then ask you several minutes of questions to confirm your identity. I know that is for our benefit, but shouldn't be necessary each time. We have tried to change the contact email address, ("Can't help you with that"). We tried to change the business address, ("No problem.") but it still hasn't been changed. And good luck trying to get any real technical help! Sorry to rant, but we dumped this system after four months due to the extremely poor customer service and bait and switch we feel we fell for.

You can't reprogram
If you decide to switch processors your machine is worthless. We have the Clover Station Pro and wanted to switch back to our old processor, but we discovered you can NOT get the machine reprogrammed. Instead, you have to buy an entirely new machine. Sounds unbelievable right! Well I have thoroughly researched it and you cannot switch processors and keep your Clover machine. That means you are out the $1600 you paid. What a joke! They said, "we can't reprogram for security reasons." And I said, "you mean you won't reprogram it."

Run far, far away!
Their customer service SUCKS!!!!!!! I have been put on hold for up to 30 minutes to have them get on the line and tell me I need to call a different number! Yes they can NEVER find your merchant ID number it's like you don't even exist. We are not a restaurant, and we have had to put our inventory in three different times! The little barcode scanner on the screen constantly stops working and when I tried to purchase a handheld barcode scanner just yesterday I spent the entire day on the phone, getting transferred, being put on hold, told I have to call different numbers and was finally told that they would email me the paperwork to get a scanner, and this is the best part.........they can't send the scanner until they receive my check BECAUSE THEY DONT TAKE CREDIT CARDS! What a ridiculous rinky dink operation! Run far far away from this system!

Worst POS that I ever purchased through Amazon!!!
Pushed the remote buttons about 5-times before the battery died. No problem I have a replacement for it.Then when i put the new battery(CR2025) in the remote and it some how does not fit correctly. It will work for a bit the seems to falls out place and doesn't work. THIS IS CHEAP-ASS China CRAP!
