Great standby power for Meade telescopes
If you are going to be out at night, or several nights where you do not have an extension cord to run electric to your telescope, you may find that the battery packs in your telescope will run down faster than you expect, and changing batteries at night is a pain. I bought this battery pack to have on hand to ensure that my slewing motors work all the time. The cord on the unit is nice and long, so it can be placed on the ground easily out of the way, and gives plenty of length if you are slewing around so that the plug does not pull out (but you still need to make sure the cord does not wrap around the unit over time. My only complaint is the plastic is light weight and the D-cell batteries have a tendency to fall out, but a strong rubber band corrects this.

Telescope Power Supply
Item made by Meade but works perfectly with my Celestron GT goto mount. Uses D batteries and provides steady power. Connector fits perfectly onto the GT mount. Good power source. Recommended.
