Heltec IOT Lora Wireless Stick Upgrade esp32 lora/WiFi lora Development Board with 0.49inch OLED Display 868MHZ/915MHZ

This ESP32-based board is great. The LoRa radio works well. I'm able to successfully communicate with an Adafruit RFM95W LoRa board that I have. I'm using the RadioHead library for LoRa instead of the Heltec library. WiFi works as you would expect for an ESP32.The little OLED screen is pretty cool. It is nice to have a screen already wired up. The screen is pretty small. It is useful for debugging or small status messages, but it isn't super practical if you are working on a production quality project. I use the screen to display the IP address. Note that you will need to split it up onto two lines to be able to see a full IP. I'm using the Heltec lib to control the screen. I tried using Adafruit_SSD1306 and Adafruit_GFX to control the screen, but wasn't able to get it working properly.Right now there are two other reviews for this product (both look pretty useless). One is someone complaining about the product not being shipped to them, and the other is complaining about some past issue with the description. I felt comfortable purchasing because I have also seen this product on ebay. I'm glad I decided to try it.I would recommend this product. I will probably buy one of the "wireless stick lite" boards that doesn't have the OLED screen so I can use a bigger external one.

All I want to do is use this board for a simple local LoRa network for sensor readings. With great pain and reserach, I was able to compile and build the Heltec read example on Arduino IDE.I use PlatfomIO and could not get this example to build. There is NO DOCUMENTATION on how to configure the board! I sent an email to Heltec support but haven't heard back!!I'm sorry I bought this board and very dissatisfied with Heltec support!

Great little board. Ordered two and one arrived DOA, but of course Amazon swapped out quickly. Otherwise worked as advertised.

on my last purchase simply this product was not in the package received
