Royal Purple 06487 10w30 Break-in Oil Case, 6 Quart, 1 Pack

after much research, this seems to be the correct oil for my 327 Chevy motor rebuilt.

Got this to break in my cam. Have used before on engine builds for break in. Great stuff

Quality oil, expensive nut it's made in america and it is worth it's weight in gold.

I bought a case of this oil, and the box had been resealed with tape. I didn’t think much of it until I opened the box and noticed that all the bands on the caps had been broken. When I looked inside the bottles, it looked honey colored rather than like royal purple, I’m guessing some stingy loser used it and replaced it with cheap oil and returned it. I bought a replacement case from elsewhere, but be sure to check before you use it.

used this to break in my small block 355. ran the engine at 2500rpm for 25 minutes. i put 500 miles on the engine and drained the oil. replaced it with Lucas Classic 10w-30 with high zinc. i have 1300 miles on the engine so far and it runs so good. i get less than 14mpg but that number would go up if i didn't like the sound it makes when the pedal hits the carpet.

It’s somewhat hard to find high quality break in oils. This is a must in break in of conventionally built engines. From a great company line of product.

This is a Full Synthetic Break in oil, which is not recommended by anyone for engines that have been rebuilt or newly built for race or street performance vehicles.

This is not a standard break in oil. It is a synthetic oil and doesn’t even have the viscosity on the bottles. You’re not sure what you’re pouring into your crankcase.. Not happy! Last purchase of Royal Purple.
