The original one I had was plastic. It was crap. It was not good at all. It broke, and I have a house Cleaner, who said I cannot clean the fans with this piece of junk.. so I found this one. First of all it’s not plastic. It’s a metal big big difference. Second is that it extends like an old metal antenna, they used to use on the boom boxes. Except it’s much stronger and much better metal. Then there’s the duster it’s thick it works great you can bend it. It’s very big it gets the entire fan. I’m very impressed. I mean really impressed for the price this company did it right

Wow, this duster picks up a lot! We have a very high and very large ceiling fan that has gathered dust for years because I could never reach it. With this duster at full extension I can stand on my upper floor catwalk and reach over to dust each blade. When I took it outside to shake it out I was shocked at how much dust and dust bunnies came flying out of it. They just kept coming and filling the air around me. The birds are going to have a field day with nesting material. At first I thought the duster head was shedding because there was so much, but nope - it was 100% accumulated dust bunnies from my fan. I gave it 4 stars because at full extension it's a little flimsy feeling. I'll have to remember to collapse the pole a bit before shaking it hard to release the bunnies, lest I break it. I'm so happy to have a solution for reaching the fan as well as high cobwebs. If I stand on a chair I can pretty much reach the second floor ceiling in our great room with it. It would be nice if the duster were a color other than gray so I can see what is dust and what is duster when shaking it out. Just a small detail, though. I'm quite pleased with this purchase.

Ordered this version of a fan duster as I was concerned that the duster that encases the fan blade on both sides might cause the blade to get pulled or broken. Now after using this single duster, I can see why the double fan duster is more practical. This single duster one extends nicely but the head flops around a lot when trying to clean the fan blades. For $14 it will work but not as sturdy.

Reaches the tall ceiling fan and I don’t have to climb the ladder. Very easy to use. Seemed kind of cheap when I opened it up but was actually pretty strong when extended all the way.

I bought this product for the reach. I needed to dust the corners of a vaulted ceiling as well as light fixtures and ceiling fans. We also have hvac vents on our standard ceilings that get pretty dusty and I have to use a stool to reach those, figured this would be perfect with the adjustable handle. I could use it for everything. Boy was I wrong! The telescoping handle doesn't lock into place in any manner. I just got this yesterday. Attempted to use it later the same day. While the handle didn't collapse down/shorter, when I had the end bent to reach onto the top of the lighting fixtures and tops of the fan blades the entire top just rotated. This caused the actual duster part to just stay in the same place. It was hard to get an angle where I could get any drag along the top. So, I'm still going to have to climb up on a ladder to really dust those. Also, the tip of the duster is hard. When I left it straight and tried to get the cobwebs from the ceiling line (at the top of the wall) the end knocked a bunch of the nubs of the awful popcorn ceiling down. To add insult to injury, the item is not returnable. I knew it wasn't marked as a "free return" but I can't even pay to ship this back or mark it defective. It just says that the item is not eligible for return. So I'm stuck with it. Shame on Amazon for not requiring that non-returnable items be well marked. I've looked again and see no indication that if defective I can't request a return or replacement. And I've seen all the other 1star review complain of the same thing. And each time the seller claims they are using it "wrong" and need to tighen it. I can't tighten the extending rod. It's not rotating where the duster is attached to the rod. The joints in the rod don't lock into place and it rotates in that joint that does not lock or tighen in any way. So you can't secure it to stop it from rotating. This is not user error. It is a product defect.

la peor compra que he hecho y lo peor que no tiene devolucion ni manera de calificar, es una estafa alli menciona un kit y no es asi es olo una pieza super fragil no super desolucionada y cuando quise realizar la devolucion no se pudo y pero tantito ni quiera poder calificar al vendedor pesimo amazon no es correcto que no permitas realiizar una devolucion de un producto que claramente no es lo que publican

Fantastic extendable duster! We have ridiculously high ceilings and every room had been turning into an actual human sized cobweb until I bought this duster! I do feel bad for the poor spiders that spent so long weaving but I have finally cleared them all...along with dust I didn't even know was there along picture rails and wooden curtain valances! It extends really long (I feel at least 10ft) so I can use all around my stairs / landings too and the head can be bents to fit over the top of units and shelves. It's not heavy but only gave 4 starts for 'lightweight' as it is light enough to carry but gives heavy duty cleaning! I haven't cleaned it yet but seems simple enough to unscrew and soak in soapy water and hang up to dry. Overall very impressed!
