Desk Lamp, TROND LED Eye-Caring Office Table Lamp Dimmable with USB Charging Port (11W, Flexible Gooseneck, Touch Control, 5 Color Modes & Dimmer, 30-Minute Timer, Flicker-Free)

I was very impressed with this lamp. I was looking for a night stand light, this works well for that purpose. It has blue LED light that is always on so at night you can find the power button. I definitely wanted a light with multiple color temperatures and this does that. At night I prefer the less harsh yellow light temperature. Then I use a 'whiter' one if I want to read or something. I also like to turn it's brightness down at night.This lamp also has memory so that it remembers your latest brightness and color temperature choice. This was important to me as well since at night I don't want it forgetting its setting if I have to turn it on in the middle of the night. Some of the other models I looked at would default back to a bright setting so a memory feature was very important to me for use as a bed lamp.I tested the 'timer' mode and that worked great, so the light properly shut off once the timer was up. All you have to do is hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the timer on, the blue LED will blink to let you know the timer is on which I appreciate.The goose neck is very flexible and doesn't feel too loose. The base is weighted so it won't fall over, and I love the rubber coating this lamp has.Really the only possible negative I see is that the plastic coating on top of the buttons seems to have a few bubbles in it, but I haven't investigated it closely yet. It may be a protective plastic sheet for shipping that needs to be removed but like I said I haven't investigated that closely yet as it is barely noticeable.The usb port charges my phone well. I do wish they made this with a 2a USB port for those that want to plug in a higher amperage tablet.The light quality is great and the brightness is just right for a night stand lamp as well as reading if you are close to it. I wouldn't expect this to light the entire room well, but it will light your desk or night stand well.

This is a very nice LED desk lamp.My choices narrowed down to this model and another brand which did not have a flexible arm but but swiveled instead. Also since this was my first venture int LEDs I was unsure about which brightness or warmth to get. There was a less expensive Trond 10W model which I considered but decided against because of it only offered the bright cool white light which as it turns out was the light I mainly use. So I could have saved $15 but I really like this lamp which I purchased.Now I am 71 years old and my eyes need lots of light to read by. This lamp was to replace a 50W halogen reading lamp I have been using for probably 20 years. It had the rigid tower with swivels and joints which I really wasn't all that fond of.The model T__ which I decided against had a couple of issues which from looking at the videos I didn't particularly like. I didntl like the joints and swivels to adjust the light and the base seemed pretty unsubstantial. Also I didn't like the way the controls were unmarked on the model I was looking at..My first take on the lamp when I unpacked it was that it was very well designed and thought out. I really like the flexible arm and the substantial and firm base. The controls are great. Also I liked the paddle shape of the light rather than a long wand. But at first I was unsure about the light source itself. I bought this for a reading lamp and not for a night light or mood light. In its brightest setting the light seemed to produce just enough light for my aged eyes.But after a couple of days my eyes adjusted to the bright cool white light this lamp produces and they are happy reading by this light. The other two light setting didn't work at all for me for reading (soft white and neutral white) partly because they are a much weaker light.I think my eyes get less tired reading in this new light (to me) as opposed to the light my halogen lamp produced.I have the light positioned on a stand to the left and rear of my chair, so the light comes over my shoulder ont what I am reading. A distance of about 16 inches or so.The light never gets too warm to touch/hold.The design of the base and arm and integrated light is superb.I took a chance and purchased this light which only had at the time 29 reviews over the one with now almost 2000 reviews and I am glad I purchased this one. It is a keeper.In case you are wondering why anyone would read from a physical book anymore. I am reading my Bible and although I have it on my computer (e-Sword) with all the bells and whistles I like to read form a physical Bible. .

I actually paid full price for this without any discount. The lights came as described and everything works great except one little deceiving fact - Not all light colors have an output of 700 lm (lum). There are 3 lights, soft (yellow), natural (blue) and white. You will definitely not get 700 lum with yellow light. But that's the only complaint I have, other than that, it works the way I want it. I only use white light anyway.I bough this for studying and I already have one fan light and another light stand. The current two lights are just not bright enough so I add this one and hope it would "balance" the light source and eliminate the shadow. in the mean time This is when the light output adjustment comes handy because I will need different output for different time. Dimming is extremely helpful during afternoon when the sun shines through window.Charged with ipod and iphone with the USB port next to the light stand, works fine, no issue here.I would love to buy another one for my wife but considering it's price and light output, it's a bit too expensive to get a second one. I would continue to look for a table light that has better light output.

Excellent desk lamp, spend a bit more than some other lamps but the extra features and quality are well worth it. The best part is the 3 color temp settings and 5 brightness levels, I use them way more than I thought I would with the warm settings perfect for relaxing and the brighter cooler settings are great for reading or doing detail work on a desktop or workbench. Solid build, nice controls, flexible rubber neck is stiff but very solid once set in place. USB charger is a nice touch, it freed up a extra plug on the powerbar. Thumbs up!

An excellent lamp. The matt finish is great. A number of variable light settings adds to the versatility of the lamp. The only issue I have is that the gooseneck of the lamp is a bit too short. It marginally goes over the top of my laptop otherwise it's still a 5-star lamp (us old guys still need to see the keyboard when we type)

Fantastic Lamp! Works as advertised.Pros: The buttons are very responsive, and are placed well. Having 3 lighting color options is great, I didn't realize how much I would actually use them, but cycle through them often depending on the time of the day and my mood. The matte texture of the finish makes it so no finger prints show up, although a small amount of dust still gets attracted to the base which is normal. Having a goose neck is a great feature of this lamp, it is extremely flexible and stays right where you leave it, in virtually any position. The brightness is also pretty good, and even if the light is faced toward you the light does not irritate your eyes too much. Having a memory function on this is also great, it stays right on the last setting you had it on before turning it off. Also, having a USB port on the back it pretty handy.Cons: The base is not very heavy, and one handed movement of the gooseneck is not very easy. It needs to be about double or triple the weight to make that feasible, even though the gooseneck itself is very convenient which slightly offsets this problem.The light has a pretty good spread, I just wish it would cover more desk space somehow, this might be offset by making it taller or is just how lamps of this type are meant to perform.Overall, it is a great lamp and the features, gooseneck, and construction quality make up for its shortcomings. Definitely worth a buy.

Excellent lamp, looks way better in real life, works perfectly, very happy with the purchase.Update after 14 months: I had been very happy with the lamp until yesterday, the lamp broke, at the top of the gooseneck where it meets the head of the lamp. Very disappointing as I really liked the lamp otherwise, I did not have to adjust it many times as it sat on my desktop without the need to make any adjustments at all. Kind of puzzling that the gooseneck failed this early, a design fault I guess, I'm expecting more of this happening to other customers. For those of you who already own it / plan to purchase one, never adjust the head of the lamp itself, adjust the position at the gooseneck bellow the lamp head.

I'm more than happy with my TROND Halo LED desk lamp. Superb packaging, excellent quality, three lighting modes, and five-level dimmers. The flexible gooseneck can be moved easily to any position. It compensates for my vision loss by providing amazing light, with no glare, for reading in bed. As a bonus, I can navigate effortlessly through the controls with a slight touch of my finger. An extraordinary product! Everyone should have one!
