I was delighted to find this replacement part which fit my swivel recliner chair perfectly and restored the functionality to recline. Direct replacement for our Ashely sofa recliner control. It appears to be the identical part that broke on our sofa recliner. Removal and installation was very easy. After turning our recliner upside down, I removed two screws that held the handle section into the side of the sofa which allowed that to just pop out. The clip near the other end of the cable assembly is also easily removed from recliner mechanism by compressing the snap in tab that fits into the recliner mechanism. S shaped hook removal is self explanatory. Installation is, as they say, opposite of removal. Feed the cable through the hole in the side of the recliner, attached the S shaped hook, snap in the clip into the recliner mechanism/frame, insert handle into side and reinstall the two screws that hold the pull lever cup. No need for an expensive service call to fix this item if you are handy.
