Ps5 uart
Just what I needed. This was used to successfully read the fault codes on a ps5 using UART. Just make sure that it is set to 3.3v, mine was set to this by default. This is done via jumpers. No drivers needed to be installed this was detected by windows 11. Just make sure what COM port its on via device manager. Also this comes with the cables already. Functions perfectly. Great little buy.

Nice device.
Genuine FTDI part. The adjustable voltage for the logic is very cool and access to all modem control pins is also useful.

Brilliant serial adaptor
Flawless product, worked extremely well. Well built too. Great price.

Works out of the box!
Having wasted £5 on a cheap USB to serial converter on a popular online auction site only to find the drivers available wouldn’t work at all, this worked straight away with OSX Monterey - supported by drivers in the Apple kernel so no driver downloads required. The variable voltage level will be handy, and the clear plastic casing gives it a degree of protection meaning it should last a while. As with most things, to get what you pay for! Recommended.

Brilliant little thing
This is brilliant - all the voltages! I’ve only used the 3.3v and 1.8v (I bought it for the later). Brilliant. Only minor down side is you really need a usb extension cable with a usb-A female at one end - unless your target is right next to your laptop.

Useful USB to serial adapter
I needed this quickly to help with a project that uses 1.8V TTL serial signalling (sometimes known as LVDS). I'm not an expert on this and was dismayed when all the transceivers were needing 3.3V or 5V. Glad I found this, as it's worked perfectly. it came in a box with some instructions, the necessary jumper, a test jumper and a 6-way prototyping cable. The plastic box means it's not a bare PCB connecting to your PC, but still looks like a development tool. I would recommend this if you need 1.8V or 2.5V signalling, and it can do 3.3V and 5V too, so perhaps the only USB to RS-232 transceiver you'll need.

Works perfectly
Used this to successfully connect to the serial port on a BeagleBone Black SBC. Worked right out of the box on my Debian Linux machine (appears as ttyUSB0), no need to install drivers, but be careful to set the TTL voltage level BEFORE connecting to the target (3.3v in my case). Also, make sure that TX pin on the device is connected to RX pin on the target and vice versa. Looks like other serial control signals are available as well if you need more than just the basic 3 wire hookup I used. Excellent piece of kit however you may need a USB extension as the included serial cable is quite short.

Excellent compatibility and thoughtful additions
I purchased this to flash a Sonoff Zigbee bridge after finding that none of my existing USB to serial adaptors would connect. The DSD TECH adaptor connected the first time and the wide range of output voltages available from the adaptor seriously expands the range of devices I can connect to without breaking out a desktop power supply. The supplied case is a welcome addition and should help to protect the adaptor against accidental shorts or damage vs the standard USB to serial UART adaptors that are generally supplied bare. Another item that is not normally included with these devices is an additional jumper block allowing you to test the adaptor is working by creating a serial loop (any information sent via serial is immediately sent back to the adaptor and can be viewed via a serial port monitor such as the one built into the Arduino IDE), while not vital, this is a thoughtful addition and something that might help new users with testing. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and will update the review in the future if there are any issues with durability.

This is a great device for working with SBC's. In the past I'd used a hacked up RS232 cable but this is easier and more flexible.
