Would I be able to use this product to straighten my very curly hair without a flat iron?

I would say no but I recommend this because I have thick curly frizzy hair. I use this and my hair is not greasy and it straighten easier (less flat iron) and a lot less frizz. I don't need much product either. This is one of the few products I will spend money on.

Does it help in humid conditions?

I think that it has helped my hair quite a lot and I am in Alabama which is EXTREMELY humid! Hope that helps :) I have also used "It's a 10" leave in spray conditioner and that helps a TON if you don't wash your hair as frequently (I wash mine every 3 days or so because it is so dry)... That is another great product for calming hair in frizz, but this helps as well.. probablly better if you wash your hair daily or every other day...

Is it safe for color treated hair?

Yes, I have used couple years and have colored treated hair.

Is this product fragrance-free? The original came fragrance-free, then they added an awful scent.

It does have a scent to it, but I don't think it is a strong smell. Throughout the day I randomly smell the product on my hair as I move around, but I think it smells good!
