Perfect Hue and Brightness
I purchased the CREE BR30 LED Flood bulb in Bright White (3000K) that is 100W equivalent using only 16W and putting out 1400 lumens.I'm very pleased with the flood light! It's the perfect hue with the 1400 lumen brightness. It's yellow, but not too yellow, and the 90+CRI richness creates more contrast and shadow, which is what I needed to see better (I'm visually impaired and contrast and shadow help define things in the room better). I did get a little delay when I turned it on for the very first time, but after that, no more delays since. It's rated to last 22+ years if used 3 hours a day, and it has a 10 year 100% guarantee! So I hope it's going to be a long, long time from now before I write a review about it's longevity! Shot, I might be dead by then if it lasts 22 years! This bulb is a little more pricey than the other bulbs, but I'm happy with the light output, and good quality bright light matters when your vision starts to fail you!It took me forever to decide which brand of LED BR30 recessed flood bulb to purchase. I wanted a 100W equivalent bulb that cast a Natural hue (3500K to 4000K range). It it's too yellow, the room is too dark, and if it's too blue, the room has no contrast, so I needed something in between daylight and soft white. It was very hard to find a good quality LED BR30 flood bulb that is equivalent to 100W, let alone one in a Natural hue tone and I almost gave up. I finally started to go to the manufacturer's websites to find if they even made such a thing, and I found the CREE brand website. I think the CREE brand puts out a pretty good BR30 bulb, and even though I could not find 100W equivalent in the 3500K to 4000K range, they did have one in 3000K (Bright White) so I thought I would give it a go. I'm pleased with the 3000K, but I think I would like a 3500K better, if I could find one.

Needs a dimmer.
We used in kitchen, cathedral ceiling. Must have a dimmer to change the light. Bright for cooking, low for moody dinner.

CREE LED Lamps
Cree LED light bulbs are top notchi have them from 6 years and runs 7x24 non stop. i also have them in motion sensors and they too are still runningtheir only drawback is its pretty expensive, but if you do not want to replace light bulbs every so often, then go Cree

Reliable
Reliable bulbs. Some cheaper bulbs don't last due to poor quality, but Cree has been the most consistent.

4 watt bulbs
I have several night lights that use 4 watt bulbs. When the starts to flicker I know the bulb needs to be replaced.

Lighting up our life- home of the 24 hr midnight...
Hey- our late 80's home is just dark. I changed out the old ceiling inset bulb in our family room and though it may push the wattage rating w/ the variable dimmer--- HAPPY. So much brighter. Any issues are tied to the wiring that I may need to touch up throughout our home. GLAD I went away from the other tech's to current. It's much brighter and the comfort zone that LCD affords works for me. I know I can go "higher" on the equivalent wattage in the fixture and this home needed it. I thought thru these "bulbs" a lot and glad I went with this one.

Worth the cost; bright, high-quality light
These bulbs are worth the extra cost in cases where you need a bit more brightness, especially for high ceilings. We have 9 foot ceilings and I wanted a brighter light above our master shower. This one is perfect and provides the extra light we needed and also produces beautiful. pure color tones. It is noticeably brighter than the 65 watt equivalent LED it replaced and for the space and with the ceiling height it is the perfect amount of light.I am completely satisfied with this purchase and hope that the bulb will last a long time, as LEDs typically do. If it fails I will update my review accordingly. CREE makes very good quality LEDs, so I'm fairly confident that it will last.

Very short life
We had recently moved into our new house, so I bought 3 cases of the Cree led recessed lightbulbs in October. I replaced all six of the overhead bulbs in our kitchen. Within a week one of the bulbs went bad. Thinking that it was a fluke, I replaced that one. Now 4 of the others have failed since that time. I'm not putting much faith in the other bulbs that I still have. Very disappointed in the company's quality. Plus, these are not cheap!
