It is great for everyday work like home repairs
This product is for the everyday person with light shoulder pain. It is great for everyday work like home repairs, lawn care, and even working out. I have used multiply shoulder braces after separating my right shoulder. This brace has been by far the best one I have used yet. It is comfortable, durable, and has many straps for adjustment to maximize comfort. It has three different straps that you can adjust. First is around your chest to bring your shoulder tighter to your body. Then the two straps on top of your shoulder to bring it down; and lastly is the strap that wraps around your bicep. These straps help limit your mobility too, so you can worry less about over exerting your shoulder and possibly re injuring it. It also is reversible, so you can use it for your left or right shoulder. The material is smooth and breathable, so it doesn't give you a big red rash after your down using it. Also with the breath ability it doesn't smell terrible after your done working in it. Make sure you know what size you are or else it won’t work to its full capability, It also maybe uncomfortable if it is too small or too big. This does not fix or get rid of you shoulder pain. It only helps support and take the stress off your shoulder. I would highly recommend this shoulder brace to anyone who has dislocated or separated their shoulder before and has chronic pain. This product is a five star product in my eyes. It is affordable and is very helpful in reducing shoulder pain and helping you to a speedy recovery.

I must say that it fits and feels more comfortable than the Shock Doctor
I bought both the McDavid 463 and the Shock Doctor shoulder support. Even though the McDavid costs less, I must say that it fits and feels more comfortable than the Shock Doctor. I really wanted both to work to support my shoulder and alleviate the pain I feel from performing simple chores. My thought was that I would use both for different tasks. It appeared that the Shock Doctor was more heavy duty, so I would wear it when lifting, working with power tools, or anything more strenuous than light work around the house. The McDavid, I thought, would be perfect for continuous wear while doing normal things during everyday activity - it would give me support and compression to assist my shoulder from taking the full stress of normal motion. And it does just that. In fact, it feels so comfortable and is so easy to put on, that I returned the Shock Doctor. For the money, the McDavid is an excellent product that works and suits me perfectly. At the end of the day, my shoulder feels much better for having worn their shoulder support. I'm not knocking the Shock Doctor. It is well built. Once you get past the confusion of all the straps and where they go and how you reach them, it's quite a good product. The problem is their sizing chart is not accurate and so the L/XL was much too loose to accomplish the desired effect (see my full review under the Shock Doctor Shoulder Support).

Great brace if you're male, not so much if you're a busty female!
This is a good quality brace but I'm unable to use it. It's advertised as being unisex, but if you're a busty female, the strap is uncomfortable and doesn't stay in place. I bought this to use at work to help with tendinitis in my shoulder. I wore it for a few shifts and gave up on it. The strap kept coming loose and I had to constantly keep adjusting it to stay under my chest. If you wear it on bare skin, it might stay better since it can rest between the breasts, but I found it uncomfortable to wear that way and wanted to wear it over an undershirt. When it was in the proper position, it did a great job of supporting my shoulder. So if you're male or flat chested, it's a great brace!

It's a "Light" Support for a Reason.
This works great as a shoulder support with the key word being "support." It's not a shoulder brace and if you have any significant instability in your shoulder, you're more likely than not to be disappointed. Think of this being like a sling that allows you to retain your arm mobility. If you're having luck with kinesio tape, you may have good luck with this too. The support won't correct your mechanics or stop you from doing anything that may be painful for a bad shoulder, but it will provide just enough passive resistance to remind you that you have an injured shoulder or give you just enough support to make movements more comfortable. I'm actually wearing this for computer work. My injured shoulder gets tired at the end of the day and the support reduces the strain on my neck and shoulder muscles. The one criticism that I have about this support is the sizing. It's not sized for athletic builds so if you're fairly muscular and your chest measurements put you close to the cutoff between sizes, go with the larger size. I had to return mine and go with a larger size. I was a small according to the sizing chart, but my arm barely fit through the support and the underside dug sharply into my armpit when the support was pulled all the way up. Go a size up if it's a close call. You can always wear a T-shirt underneath and quite frankly you'll probably want to do that anyway if you will be wearing this throughout the day. The anchoring strap is not uncomfortable, but you wouldn't want it rubbing directly against your skin all the time. UPDATE: I've downgraded this after I found out I had an AC Joint separation and needed this to be more than just a nice stretchy fashon accessory. It was uncomfortable to wear it continuously. I could never get this to fit comfortably if I needed any compression at all out of it. I also found that some of the hand pain I was having may have been made worse by the shoulder support. The anchor strap the arm sits in a spot where it can really annoy your ulnar nerve. The anchor point should be higher to reduce the risk of ulnar nerve irritation. Also, I started to have really serious chafing problems (even with a shirt underneath) from the anchor strap the longer I used this.

Highly Recommended! Would buy again
Provides good compression. This was purchased for rehabilitation/stabilization during powerlifting workouts to support a shoulder with an old dislocation injury that likes to bother me every once in a while. Key points: -Purchased small (11.5in bicep circumference on flexion, 39in shoulder circumference, 34in chest circumference) and it fits perfectly with a lot of adjustability in positioning as well as size. -Can be worn over/under clothes, though the strap does dig in to your underarm after a while (I recommend wearing over a shirt if you need to wear it longer than a few hours). -Easy to clean (I wash it on cold with regular detergent and hang it dry overnight) and doesn't retain any sweat-smell. I have been using this regularly for over a month (washed it weekly) and there is no breakdown in the material or the seams. -Doesn't allow your skin to breathe, so you WILL SWEAT A LOT while wearing it. I'm not a big sweater (even when I'm lifting heavy) but my sleeve/arm is always soaked when I take off the brace. However, I haven't felt any chaffing, so it's not an issue until I remove it. -After the initial adjustment, putting it on/taking it off is a BREEZE. -I have full range of motion while wearing it. This is great because it provides that extra bit of compression to my muscles to help me stabilize (especially while pressing), but it doesn't impede my form. -It smelled like a wetsuit when I first got it which makes sense given the material, but it went away after a few days. -It travels well because it is small, flexible, and lightweight. I recommend this to anyone with minor shoulder instability who has been told to get a flexible brace or to ACE-wrap their shoulder to provide support and compression. I would definitely buy again.

Not made for a woman, rubs in all the wrong places.
I had really high hopes for this shoulder brace. I read the reviews and knew I'd be taking a chance but thought I'd give it a try anyway. The item itself appears to be in good condition- nice and sturdy- no loose seams or anything. I first attempted to put it on with the help of my 13 year old son, but it just didn't seem to fit right. I didn't feel it was very secure. So I tried again later- with the help of a friend. We made it fit the best we could, but the thing was so uncomfortable. First off I'm a woman- and I wear a 36B bra size- I'm not horribly huge chested, so I thought I may be able to swing this. Boy was I wrong. First off- I did think it was odd that the sizing is all about your chest size- as why would that really matter for the actual shoulder brace? The shoulder brace itself is too big for my shoulder. I've got pretty broad shoulders, but this still was too loose. We tightened all the velcro to try to make it work, but it rather cut off the circulation in my arm- or totally rubbed my arm pit. When we had it fitting best we could, it still bunched up and looked all wrinkled because it was just too large for my arms. I wore it for maybe 20 minutes- and was left with large welts under my arm pit as well as the side opposite the brace. I considered taking it to a seamstress and having it altered, but then figured that was just way too much work (and way too costly). So I'll continue my search for a brace that would actually work for a woman. I'll be returning it later this week :(

Good brace, added some padding on strap since female parts pushed it higher in armpit.
This brace works to reduce pain from damage I did to my shoulder. I did have some pinching under my arm where the strap sat under my armpit. (I'm female) I remedied this by putting a baby car seat belt pad like this one under my armpit: https://www.amazon.com/ELEBaby-Soft-Leather-Shoulder-Babies/dp/B019BWLFC4/ref=sr_1_6_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1470688121&sr=1-6&keywords=car+seat+belt+pads I found the car seat belt pad locally and the package came with 2 of them so I could double them up if needed. I only used one however. There seems to be lots of choices on amazon with many different padding levels but many have animals on them so I went with a brand that used fabric like the one I linked. (geometric pattern) The other thing I did was sew a tube of white cotton muslin fabric to slide over the braces strap. I did this to make it less obvious I was wearing a brace when I had a white t-shirt on to camouflage the across-body strap. It was still obvious I had it on my shoulder so no one bumped into me, but it blended in on the strap. Other then the above it fit me well. The support for the shoulder is nicely adjustable with velcro to conform to my shoulder. I try not to wear it longer then directed. Some of the more brutal days of over 90oF we've had did make me sweat more under the brace but It wasn't unbearable. The seller I got it from shipped the brace lightning fast which was a GODSEND too.

My brace
I'm so grateful for the speedy delivery, received the next day after ordering instead of next week thank you 🙏🏾 because my left shoulder has been killing me. An old shoulder injury that flared up recently after waking up, so i guess I'd slept badly on it and it hasn't gone since, something's popped I can hear it click. I'm tired of taking tablets for it and there the pain still lurks. With this covid-19 pandemic, it's not easy to see a gp. Like the old saying you get what you pay for, and with this being so expensive, let's see how I go with this support brace.🤞🏾 It's comfortable to wear, it fits well and it does take the pressure off my shoulder, that's a good start. This brace does work, I had taken it off for a brief moment and my shoulder felt fine, no aches or pains, so I'm very pleased & relieved.

Great way to rehab shoulder problem
Great product for a minor rotator cuff injury. By using this product I was still able to lift weights as my shoulder recovered.

Verkeerde maat

Does Its Job but Prickly
The material pricks and not as soft as I thought to be. And it fits a bit tight on me, hopefully it will stretch out with more washes. It still does it job or supporting.
