Worked fine for keeping my laptop from falling apart
Great product. I'm using this to keep my laptop from separating because my HP came apart where the hinges are after 4 months of opening and closing the lid. After warranty repair, same thing happened again. These clamps work beautifully to keep the housing from coming apart where the hinges are. I'm not using the screws of course, but slipped the clamps on from the sides where the main stress is caused (and I am also using a piece of anti slip rubbery material between the clamp and computer housing).

The product I received was clearly used. the outside walls were covered in grey latex paint. From the description and at the price i was expecting a freshly milled product.

Has some ugly coating on the stainless steel
The product, as delivered, has some kind of coating on it that makes it look really ugly. If these aren't visible, they'll do the job, but if you want something that looks as described and pictured, this is not the product for you. It's really ugly.

If you wanted to fit something that was exactly 3/4 then you might need some washers - was actually an inch
