Beautiful desk
This was my work desk for 3 years. I saw reviews about spontaneous shattering and never experienced this. This is quality tempered glass. Obviously weight distribution is to be considered, I would not put an entire computer PC on this and hope for the best, however with some equipment and daily use with clients it was completely safe and functional. I moved locations multiple times and it was lightweight enough for me to handle on my own, it was the perfect size even in a smaller space. I did lose some screws during a move and just got some replacements at the local hardware store and it was fine. I see this desk commonly in salon spaces and it’s very clean looking. Overall this is a beautiful functional desk I highly recommend.

Love this Desk! Bought 2 for a Special U-Shape Configuration
I absolutely love this desk. I originally saw them on Target's website for TWICE the price! I bought 2 of them to make a U-shaped configuration that works in my upstairs landing. For my space, I couldn't make use of the 2nd x small return. I didn't have room for it but I did need the 2nd x big piece of the desk and was able to make use of the extra glass top from the 2nd short return, so it worked out wonderfully.I made one desk with a left return. Then on the right side, I pushed the 2nd x longer piece up against the right side to create a U-shape desk. I had an extra Ikea white cabinet in my craft room, so I positioned it at the end of the L-Return of the main desk. I used the extra glass from the 1 x unused short return and put that on top of the Ikea drawer. This way it looked more like was part of the actual desk and it's just a bit shorter than the rest of the desk top, which actually works really well and looks good too. What I love:- It can be a L or R return desk. So many desks I've found have the return on the wrong side.**Note that because it can be a L or R return, the side you don't use will have 1-2 holes exposed in the metal frame. I had these glossy white circular shaped stickers from a marble-look bookshelf I bought on Amazon for the same office space. I just used those over the holes and you can't even tell now.- It's a tempered-glass top but also not see-through. The white film underneath helps the desk feel light and airy but more solid than something clear, which I didn't want. Once the top is on, it has a bit of a sea glass color, which is very pleasant.**Note that because the tops are solid, there are no holes for cord management! I was reminded of this by reading another review but decided the rest of the desk worked so well, I'd figure it out. I positioned it in a way that I could hide my cords against the wall where my desk was placed. On Amazon, I bought this neoprene cord cover material that is black on one side and white on the other.I used velcro strips to organize my cords as normal. Then, wrapped those in the neoprene cover. This helps mask the black cords. But do be mindful of this depending on where you plan on positioning your desk.- You can use the glass top as a dry erase board. I use my 2nd larger glass piece for this and it's wonderful. In my upstairs landing, there is no place to hang my glass dry erase board on a wall, so this is a great alternative.- Pretty easy to assemble. As with any assembly, just be patient and make sure you're using the right screws during the correct step and it's fine. I used a power drill with a drill bit that worked. Then used the little Allen wrench that came with the screws to manually tighten a bit at the end.I'm a 42-year-old woman and I did it myself without too much trouble...including lifting the glass tops onto the desk. The glass stays on top with suction cups that you press into the top of the metal frame. They're heavy but if you're reasonably strong and careful, it's obviously doable. I DID have to get my love to help me carry the glass up the stairs...needed his extra muscles for that. We opened the boxes downstairs and I brought everything upstairs for assembly. One of the boxes came literally with a gash in the back of the box that had torn wide open. Luckily it was packaged very well inside the box, so nothing was damaged. These desks have transformed my workspace. It feels so much more spacious and open than the wooden desk I had here before.

Very happy with it
I ordered the desk on Monday afternoon, and it arrived on Wednesday. I totally didn't expect it that quickly. I had asked in the shipping instructions that they put the desk by the stairwell, but they left it on the porch. Fortunately, the porch bandits weren't able to make off with a 92-pound desk. There was a large hole in the front of the box when it arrived, and I was concerned about whether it would be broken. I wasn't sure if the hole happened during shipping or if a neighbor got frustrated because it was sitting in front of the door that I had asked the delivery person to not block (if he had left it in the stairwell, it wouldn't have been in anyone else's way). After I dragged the 92-pound box up the step and into the apartment, grunting and gasping all the way, I checked for damage and let my arms, back, and lungs heal for the remainder of the week. I finally got up the gumption to put it together, and all of the inventory was accounted for. It wasn't my first rodeo putting anything together, and I managed to do it by myself within an hour or so, including a couple of breaks. The only snafu was the smaller end with legs fits both ways, but when you put the glass on, it will not be aligned if you don't put it on in the correct direction. I don't think that the instructions pointed that out, but I was able to easily make the adjustment when I saw that the leg would be exposed on the front and the glass hanging over on the back. The instructions do show that you can have it right or left facing. It was very simple to put together, had clear instructions, and only needed one tool, the Allen wrench/hex key, which was provided. Although the top is only secured with the suction cups, it feels very stable. The glass is thick and durable. My favorite part: nothing in the middle to block your knees, so you can actually put a monitor in the middle and use it for two or three monitors and sit comfortably.Just to clarify for anyone who might be wondering, the description "frosted" is a bit inaccurate. The glass is green, but it's coated white on the bottom, so it is not transparent at all. However, that may be a good thing so you won't have to look at all of your wires.
