It didn't work, but it's possible the battery was no good so I did the next best thing and swapped the parts with the broken factory I had and it fit and worked not problem. For my case the key ring was broken on the factory.

thank goodness for google and youtube, or this would be a different review.The keyfob website the instructions sent me to, are worthless. It gave you three different ways to program the remote and NONE of them worked. Figured it was something I was doing wrong. Printed out the instructions, fallowed each of them over and over for about an hour or so. realized maybe the product might be busted.came on and looked at some of the reviews before contacting to ask for a refund... Skipped the 5 stars and went to the ones that were 4 instead, saw it wasn't JUST myself the instructions weren't working for... Just googled make year and modal of the vehicle, clicked on the youtube video that went with it and they showed me a totally different way of doing it.WORKED THE FIRST DAMNED TIME!remote works great, great range, brand new spare fob.Just the WORST instructions ever given.just in case you're lazy and don't want to google it. here is how you do it for a tacoma 2002 to 2015 or so.-Take the key and your NEW fob to the vehicle.-in the drivers seat, make sure it is unlocked. Start by opening door, leave it open.-put the key into the ignition and take it right out, twice. (don't turn it on, just pop the key in and take it out)-close and open the door, TWICE. Leave door open.-put key in and take out, ONCE.-Put key in, leave in (do not turn on just put in ignition)-Close the door-turn key to ON (not start, but just on so all the lights come on)-turn key off and take out.-The vehicle will lock and unlock a couple times on it's own, that means it's ready for the new remote.-take NEW remote fob, press LOCK AND UNLOCK at the same time for a couple seconds. let go, then press LOCK and hold for 10 or so seconds (still on the new remote.)it should go cycle and lock and unlock and your fob should work just fine.If not look at one of the videos online.

Followed the instructions, programmed on the first try, super easy! Great remote.

I bought two of these for my son's car and have had no issues with them. It's a process to get them linked but easy is you can follow instructions.

I wasn't too sure as to what to think when I came across this key fob for my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. But it has worked out perfect! I followed the instructions from the website and it worked perfect. I only had to do it twice because I didn't turn the ignition all the way on in one of the steps. Otherwise it was dead on! I high recommend this product at least for older Tacomas like mine.

Like? - (the question asked by Amazon's review group) EVERYTHING!! This is the 2nd company i had been to searching for my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. The first group took my return and doesn't sell this particular Security FOB now. So when these arrived (ordered 2) - i was familiar with the "puzzle instructions" to program. (btw - no need to open an account to get the instructions, there are many places to find these instructions without having to give any personal info) - for me, i went northcoastkeyless.com. Sure enough,5 minutes later - had both fobs (which are built very nicely and respond better than the original from backin 2002 - which of course, should be expected) - All around - fantastic. This is only my 3rd review ever in my life......however, i have been without a security fob for over 5 years and it feels real good to have something work exactly as advertised (right out of the box). Keep in mind - for the Tacoma at least, the company description includes the Security Model Number for compatibility.....just sayin'

Worked perfectly on a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Just follow the directions on the website carefully. If you mess up, start over and you’ll be fine. Way better that paying the ridiculous amount my local Toyota dealer wanted.

Nothing against the product itself, but it didn't work for us on 2000 Toyota Solara XE. We did NOT have the original remote to know if there was a light on it or not. We took a chance, but no luck. Followed the instructions and even tried other steps found online, but none of them worked. The order was delivered on time and well packaged. We just weren't lucky on this one.
