LED Display Lights, (4) Strip Light Bars for Display Case Shelf Showcase Bookshelf Kitchen Workbench, Plug-in Under Cabinet Lighting - (6000K, Cool White)

My husband and I rent a display case in a shop for our miniature business. The owners rearranged the displays in their shop and we noticed the natural lighting was much dimmer with the new arrangement. Miniatures require a lot of light in order to see the details. We ordered the Cefrank lights and they made a big difference in the lighting. The lights are easy to install and do not take up a lot of room. They add light without being blinding.

Colors are bright, I suggest the cool white colors. A lot more bright than most. Also if you are using for ikea blaladin, purchase 1 cord hider and place in corner for a beautiful display with minimal cords seen.

First off the LEFrank brightness and color is a great improvement compared to 10+yr legacy IKEA warm yellow LED light strips. It really modernizes the Detolfs. The reason for 4, instead of 5 stars is due to the LED cable length since I prefer the LED controller (where all the strips plug into) to be outside and under the display case. I drilled holes at the bottom of each case to run the cables. The alternative would be to run the cable through the front door gap and to the back of the case, which to me is unacceptable. I therefore had to extend the wire length for the top two LED strips. Addditonally, the copper strands double the amount of strands when compared against the CEFranks. With that said it is sufficient to power the LEDs without any issues. This also provides greater flexibility to route and bend wires as necessary. With everything considered, I’d buy again if needed.

The Cefrank LED Display Lights are an absolute gem for showcasing collectibles, especially within my trusty Ikea Detolf display cabinet. These little marvels truly give my collectibles the spotlight they deserve, making them shine like stars in a midnight sky. Installation is a breeze, though tidying up the wires takes a smidge of patience. But let me tell you, they're worth every second! In fact, I've bought several sets because they're just that good. If you want to turn your collection into a dazzling exhibit that will leave your guests in awe, these LED lights are an absolute must-have. Shine on, collectibles, shine on!

Easy install, if you use better mounting screws. Good light.

These lights were the right size and the right price for what I needed. I am using this for lighting inside solid cabinets that will be painted. The color issue will not affect me when i am looking for pots and pans. On the plus side, they are simple to setup, have plenty of cable length, and provide a decent quality of light. They are also much brighter than I expected. On the negative side, they do suffer from a horrible color streak issue. In the photos you can see a clear band of white light, bordered by a band of yellow light on each side. This is not a fault in the light strip itself, but in the clear cover over the light. The cover is a u-shaped plastic that has 90° edges. Those edges cause the light going through to project a yellow color. The band goes out 20° to each side of the beam. I included a photo at 1 foot and 3 feet to show that it does not blend even at a distance. If you are using this to up-light or down-light a wall, the yellow would only be visible at the top. So if the strip is behind a valance you would not notice it as the wall would have pure white light. I would not use this anywhere color accuracy is needed as this will be very noticeable.

These little lights are great! We are in the midst of spiffying up our somewhat dated (and not-well-thought-out) home, and one of our recent projects was to add a closet to our bathroom. We used these as shelf lights in the closet, and they are PERFECT! I love that they are LED, so we can even leave them on as a night light for our young son without using tons of electricity. Be aware that these are not a "warm" white light. They are cool white, so I imagine they might not be great for countertop lights or for reading. However, I think the color is perfect for our closet, and the brightness is just right for each shelf. I might have deducted 1/2 a star for the length of the cords. I wish they were a little longer--and especially the cord from the hub to the switch. We had to fenagle a little to get the switch to a convenient spot, since that length of wire was a bit short. All-in-all, it worked out though.

Update 5 years later: I currently have 6 detolfs and purchased 6 brand new sets of C Frank lights so that all the lighting matches. Then you were lights are way brighter and have a great frosted diffusion over the housing. The light is evenly distributed and works perfectly in my hot toys detolf setup. The detox and these lights perfectly. I recommend getting four in zip ties as well as clear double-sided tape in order to mount the lights neat, clean and minimalist. The photos in my moody portraits are from the old lights but a similar effect can be seen in the last photo with the purple/blue clone trooper. Update 4 years later: These lights are still going strong and I have done a cleaner wire tuck on them and have the switch on the outside that way the wiring is all clean inside the detolf. Tip is to add a black cloth or curtain at the back which gives it a nice museum look. I often take photos using 2 Ulanzi lights on the sides of the figure but the upper Led lights give a perfect moody portrait look for my 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures. I love these lights and they are definitely reasonably priced even after all these years. Original Review So far I am extremely pleased with the quality of these lights they provide a nice white light color which is not too blue or too yellow. there's a very very slight yellow hint but it is not very bad at all. I'm using them to display my collection in my detolf cabinet and over all, these are perfect. the design of the light housing is clean and has options for screwing the fixture in or using double-sided tape I am using my own 3M double-sided tape as I do not want any leftover residue in the future. The wires are fairly long and provide a good amount of coverage in the video you can see that the top wire reaches almost all the way to the bottom. The button to turn the unit on is very high quality and the unit is very clean looking with white wires and housings of the cable Hub and switch. The power cord to the main wall plug is also a good amount of length measuring approximately 3 1/2 to 4 feet possibly more but it is just right. Overall this is an excellent alternative to the standard Ikea diodor lights which are not available in Canada. In addition, the other china brand led light strip a just won't do as I have tried several of them and searched high and low for a clean setup and good white light kit. The design of this unit is very well engineered. And these work perfectly for displaying my figures in my detolf.

I normally am not a review person but I am very happy with lights they are very easy to install and they look great I will say if the company made a few different versions with a soft or a warm white option and made them dimmable that would be nice but very happy with the outcome of these lights!

Plugged it in and set it up inside my IKEA Detolf for some figurines. My biggest complaint is the fact that if you put the top lightbar on the top level, the wire isn't quite long enough to reach the floor, so you're forced to put the light hub somewhere on the bottom shelf. This makes wire management harder and makes it quite difficult to make it look nice. I did my best with zip ties but it's still a little messy. Light wise, it's not super bright but sufficient enough for the purpose. The adhesives were pretty easy to apply and attach to the display case, and after 2 months-ish they're still stuck on pretty well. As far as I'm aware, this set does NOT come with a remote control (at least I didn't receive one). I hooked mine up to a smart plug and control the plug via my phone as a workaround. Overall a good product, it fits, works well, and looks neat with a little effort put in. A few minor complaints but ultimately nothing disastrous. Would still recommend if you're not confident building and soldering your own light setup with LED strips.

...but do it first as a test with a removable scotch tape. I did that and I'm glad as I needed to make a few changes before I was happy with the final placement. The wires will have to be eventually covered by some plastic cover to make it all look neat. But all that is worth the effort. I had a dark kitchen corner and these little lights made a total difference. Light is just perfect, cool white, not yellow that is painful for eyes, not blinding or annoyingly strong. I can leave them on in the evening to have some light in the open concept kitchen/living room while watching TV. And they are totally cold to the touch even after several hours of being on. I'm very happy with this choice. Thank you.

Superb. Only offered them into the place these lights will eventually sit. I just need to drill a small hole at each display shelf and thread the cable through. It's easy enough to connect these lights up to the junction box which will be hidden behind my display unit. A small screw fits at either end of the light too secure them. Connect lights up, stand back and admire your display all lit up. Can be switched on and off via the rocker switch which is a good function to have. You could go one further and put the electric plug into a timed plug. Maybe the makers could add this function as an option. Only thing I don't like is the screw holes are in diagonal corners but I can live with that once fitted. Money well spent I think
