This stuff saved my Koal's life
I thought my Koal was dying, vomiting every day starving. It wasn't a hairball or blockage. He was trying to eat grass, chew on plastic bags and was licking me like crazy, probably craving salt, his BUN was really high indicating he was really dehydrated despite all his drinking. He's 8 years old. The vet gave him some dewormer but he didn't have worms and changed his diet to this stuff and the kibble. I was giving him a tablespoon of this stuff every 3-4 hours and he was keeping it down and gobbling it down. He was regaining his energy fast in a week he was like a kitten again. Now I mix it up and alternate between two tablespoons every 3-4 hours and the EN kibble. Occasionally if he eats the EN kibble too fast and drinks lots of water he starts throwing up again. So I have to stop the kibble and go back to just the wet food. I also keep up with the hairball remedy once a week to keep his stool soft. And I keep the shopping bags out of his reach.

It was high priced.
Ezzy liked the taste. Half the battle with 17 year old cat.

Something strange with latest order
This case of food seems to be different than the what I've received for the past 5+ years. This food is much softer/more liquid in each can (and my cat keeps throwing up after eating....which doesn't usually happen). Not sure if this was exposed to severe heat or cold....or maybe a manufacturing defect? But it's not the same food that I've been purchasing.

EN Gastroenteric Diet cat food
My cat eats it once in a while. If I hand feed it to her. was recommended by a vet when my cat got real sick eating fancy feast. He was in the hospital for a week. he always get dry food every day EN Gastroenteric dry food. I buy the 6 pound bag. last about 4 to 6 months. It does go bad I believe, cause he starts throwing it up. so then I replace with fresh bag.

Great for kittens/cats with digestive issues
When I got my Ragdoll kitten, the breeder insisted that I feed him a certain brand of food. Every time I fed him as recommended, however, he had fits of diarrhea and vomiting. I alerted my vet and he went on a temporary diet of chicken and rice, which resolved the issue. We then agreed it best to try various wet and dry foods from local grocery stores for a few weeks each, to find which wouldn't be an issue. No matter what we tried, the diarrhea and vomiting returned. After extensive (and expensive) testing, all results kept coming back the same; I had a completely healthy kitten. Unable to explain the issue, the vet gave me a few cans of Purina EN and suggested feeding him half of a can per day. Here I am a year later, and my cat still loves it and has no diarrhea or vomiting issues at all. While it is more costly than most other wet foods, in this instance you truly do get what you pay for.If your kitten or cat is having digestive issues, I'd highly recommend giving this wet food a shot; I mix 1/4 can with Purina One dry food, twice a day; 1 can lasts me two days.

Meow Meow Meow...
Okay, I am trying to translate what my cat says. She wakes me up every morning...insistent upon being let out (to see the cats on the next balcony) and eating this food. I think she likes it more than I did...if she didn't like it so much, I suspect I would be able to sleep in longer. That is why I rate it a three. I am sure the cat would rate it higher if she could type...The one thing about this product I have noticed from my cat is that she loves a new can. Not so crazy about it by the end of the can (it is kept refrigerated). If I did nothing but open new cans, I suspect I would never get any sleep.Anyway, we feed it to her because the Vet diagnosed her with a specific condition...and this product certainly had kept her going, now some five years. One last thought...I am pleased with the vendor...delivers very quickly and the packaging is overkill enough that the cans are never dented by the mail.

It Just Works
I fed two (2) cases of this diet to my sick kitty and he did very well on it, better than the vet -prescribed other version we used first. He like the taste, especially with the Forti-Flora powder sprinkled on it. He eats it all and his vomiting has stopped completely. The shipment was well-packed and only a couple of cans were dented. My only problem is the price. This works out to about $3.00 a can. For that price, I can buy chicken or hamburger and cook my own rice. If only I had the time.

No more sick pet
Our cat is very sensitive to dry food and after a lot of vet visits we settled on this food. He hasn't thrown up or been sick since starting him on it about six months ago.
