Boy, this is a breeze. Yes, it's a little noisy but in summer Southern California this is "a breath of fresh air." Not for a bedroom, though, or any small space - unless you want to get "blown away" but great for large room or small house cooling.

One of the fans is now making a horrible sound and a terrible smell is coming from it. We are too nervous to use it anymore and sadly it is past the time from which we can return or exchange it. Unfortunately we quite liked the fan but are sad that one of the two purchased is no longer functional. We have only owned them for just under four months.

I purchased this fan less than a year ago (October 2015) and at first thought this was decent fan for the price. After a few weeks of use, the fan began to make more noise than expected. I ensured there was nothing loose or unscrewed on the fan and the fan continued to be louder than expected but worked.As of early September the fan just stopped working - motor does not operate when power is turned on. I have checked there is no debris or dirt blocking or preventing the fan from moving.Unfortunately because of the return policy, I'm stuck with a broken fan, not even a year old.

how in the world does one CLEAN this fan. try it ,,, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to take apart and clean plus bolts holding ; fan look stressed,bent. Probably have to send this back...it does blow LOTS of air around. craftsmanship looks shoddy... to bad . i could love this fan...

It's not the quietest fan around, but it really pushes air. The construction is good but not the best I've seen for fans.

Nicely priced, utility fan. Every home needs one. It is noisy, but who cares? It's not all that attractive, again who cares? We have used this to keep the garage cool when we have to do work out there. We have used this in the basement to dry it up after a particularly bad rain. Have used it to help keep the upper floor of the house cool and ventilated during a particularly hot July. Have used it to get a small painted patch in the house to dry and keep the smell down. It has been used often and well and the price cannot be beat. Recommend you follow the usual instructions to keep it oiled to increase longevity, but that goes for any household fan. If you have kids or animals, the housing of the fan is sturdy and the openings in it are small enough that curious paws or fingers will not get through. I would never leave it unattended for long though when they are around, because you just never know.

Very bad Fan . The motor get very hot an 3 speed do not work one 1 speed for all
