It is what it is. And what it is is quite good.
I can think of all sorts of reasons why I wouldn't like these, but not one of those reasons applies to these. They are high quality, easy to use, and inexpensive.If you need good Dupont shells, then get these.Highly recommended.

single pin housings are the most flexible
Sure you can order an assortment of sizes, but they often have only a few of the single pin connectors and the single pin connectors are the most flexible: you can much more easily gang multiple singles together than try to cut apart a multiple pin connector. So having 500 singles is actually kind of nice.These seem to be fine enough connector housings. It's possible you could find higher quality ones someplace, but I doubt at such a reasonable price. These will do the job.

The product is fine, but requires skill to use effectively
This is more of a combined rating of my skills and the Header Connector Housing. My two crimpers don't work with it, so I had to use the pliers as shown in the video. On the second application, I just soldered it after crimping with the pliers to ensure a solid connection; however, the solder joint was too fat, so I had to trim it with my diagonal nose cutters. That's fine, but the ideal solution would be a crimper that works and for me to have the skills to use it. I had to use a magnifying glass to handle some of this because of my age, my visual acuity and dexterity have declined dramatically in the past 10-20 years.

They click so good
Slides over the connector just so perfect. I really enjoy the satisfying delicate click sound when it goes on, when you've done the crimp just right. I just, omg, I love that sound. You know what I mean?

The elusive single pin
I virtually always use single connectors in my projects, but the kits always come with half a dozen other sizes I'll use maybe once, maybe never, and I'm always low on singles. Not anymore!
