This new version (Super Slick V2) is a totally different and greatly improved upgrade from the original braid. As the name implies, it is DEFINITELY super slick and comes off the reel incredibly clean and easy. Best characteristic as far as I'm personally concerned, is that it doesn't absorb water anything like the older line did after a bit of use. AND, it's WAY better when fishing in icy conditions where the older type would get all messed up. Worth every penny! I also really like the 300 yard spools. 150 is enough for most river applications, and if your reel spool holds more just use backing. Love it! Pretty color
Good line, color fades and I feel like it has more line twists than other PPV2 lines I have, but could be because it's much brighter and more visually noticable. Haven't had any issues with line breaking

V2 is NOT an Improvement
I have used Power Pro braided line for several years. As far as I'm concerned, Spectra Slick 8 was the standard for braided line. The new V2 braided line does not need that standard! I installed V2 on two of my reels (30# on a Lexa 300 and 40# on a Lexa 400). The "Mellow Yellow" line left a chalky residue on both of my reels. After fishing with the line for a few days, so much chalk came off that my reels were covered in yellow residue and the line began to lose its color. I removed the line from my reels and have switched to another brand.

Great braid, strong and sensitive and super thin works fantastic with black light for night fishing and has hardly any memory great product.

Go with Suffix 832
I got power pro because I heard it was the best. I ordered the V2 super slick thinking it would be better but that was not the case. The braid seems to have some type of fraying to it. It’s not smooth. My other rods use suffix 832 which I have no complaints with. I love the suffix coastal camo.

Deteriorated quickly
I love power pro v2 super slick, but I do NOT recommend this color. All other colors have held up for a full season or two at least (I fish 5 times a week at least). However this color started fraying after 3-4 uses. I think the “glow” feature (which doesn’t work anyways), added something to the line that aides in faster degradation. Buy another color, not this moonshine crap.
