Great Continuation
If you love Munchkin as much as my kids do (ages 8-12), you won't be sorry with this purchase either. This is an expansion pack of cards to be mixed in and utilized with the original Munchkin "Door" and "Treasure" cards. It enhances the original game through additional combat modification cards, races, and encouraging owners to create their own custom cards (a very cool idea!). The only thing to be aware of though is that while this game is fantastic for children, some of the cards are decidedly more mature. Not lewd per se, but definitely aimed at an older audience. In this expansion pack, for example, there is the Lust Monster, which should be fought by players of the opposite sex. Your kids are probably not going to pick up on the nuances of this monster or the reason for the particular rules on fighting it. If the game is intended for kids, I wish that was kept more in mind. Official packaging says ages 10-14. Are sexual allusions really necessary? This game is enjoyable because it encourages interaction between the players. Alliances shift and reform over the course of a game. Players benefit from working with one another throughout the game, even if it is only to stop another player from winning. It's really a clever game and a lot of fun.

Unnatural Axe lead to unnatural fun!
Added this extension for my second game of Munchkin (discovered the Deluxe edition in early December 2014.) Despite having only played one game with the basic set, this expansion added a lot of hilarious, idiotic fun to the game (group consisted of myself and three college freshman guys.) The Orc race turned out to be a game winner for me! Won the game with only a Sneaky Bastard Sword and Spiked Codpiece while everyone else was loaded to the hilt with weapons and gear. Besides the Orc race, the rest of this 100+ card pack has plenty of wacky items, curses, and new monsters to add zest to a basic Munchkin set. Definitely a worthwhile purchase if you enjoy rowdy, back-stabbing dungeon crawls Munchkin-style.

Fun Expansion pack
If you play with more than 2 people, getting at least 2 expansion packs make Munchkin an awesome game. Otherwise it tends to be a little redundant. I recommend playing with at least 3 people, otherwise games tend to be more back and forth, where as 3 people, 2 tend to gang up on another, sometimes aliances switch sides. Educationally, it teaches taking turns, dealing with good and bad actions, and dealing with people ganging up on you. Life lessons via a game. We play it with our autistic son because it's a good action/consequences teaching game. If he plays mean, then we do to. If we do something mean to him, he can either retaliate, or blow it off. At the end of the game, no matter how mean we play, we always thank each other for playing and congradulate the winner.

Little to no Downsides
I started my Munchkin experience by purchasing the original game, but quickly found that, especially when five or six people were playing, we would quickly exhaust the card deck, and the lack of variety would become very telling. After purchasing the Unnatural Axe expansion, I have found that not only does it add a LOT of fun, new cards (whilst keeping the deck nicely balanced, power-wise), but it also dramatically enhances the replay value, while increasing the difficulty slope by having a few more nasties out there. All in all, I am quite satisfied with this pack, and having been especially having fun trying out the new Orc race--I'm already considering picking up the Clerical Errors expansion whenever I can scrape some nickels together.

Awesome expansion - 1 tiny problem.
If you like Munchkin just go ahead and grab an expansion once you've seen every card you already had way too many times. This expansion is awesome, it adds a lot, and the color cards look very nice. If you have an Old copy of the original munchkin I will warn you though - the cards are a different color. To be specific they're a different brightness of the same color. Regardless, while shuffling and going through the deck or just holding your hand up it's easy to tell how many cards you have from the original munchkin and how many are from this (and all Color) expansions. I wish I knew that. I'd recommend investing in a color copy of the original munchkin before getting this.

Great card game for geeks and non geeks
I've never been a D&D person but have always enjoyed fantasy and role playing games. I was able to win the first time I played it was that easy to pick up. (might have helped that my cousins explained it well too) Either way it was a blast and we had a lot of laughs. I highly recommend expansions 2-5 because it give a full range of add ons and extras. It's what we played with and had 8 people playing at once. If you like card games and being able to mess with your friends and cause destruction on them or help each other out whichever then this game is a great buy.

Great addition to the first! New race and a new game mechanic introduced
This expansion adds 112 new cards. It gives you 2 blank door cards and 2 blank treasure cards if you want to get creative. You get the new race of orcs. There are a few items that only orcs can use. The orc does the following... Orc: bonus#1. An orc who is hit with a curse can always choose to ignore the curse and lose a level instead - unless hes already at level 1. Bonus #2 when an orc fighting alone defeats a monster by more than 10, he goes up an extra level. There is another mechanic too. Item enhancers. These cards are to be played on an item you already have in play; they cannot be played by themselves. Other then that there is a good spread of items, curses, monsters, and boons to add to your munchkin deck. Please note this is an expansion and not a standalone deck.

A bunch of great cards for your Munchkin game. Remember that you'll need the standard base game and that this isn't a separate game. Personally I feel that you need at least one expansion (like Unnatural Axe) to get the most out of Munchkin. That's just what my friends and I have for our weekly games (Munchkin + Unnatural Axe). There's enough variation to keep everything feeling fresh, and the card pile doesn't look too high. I'd even consider throwing one more expansion in. The cards themselves are brilliant, and funny too, with a new race: the Orc. This race allows you to dodge the effect of a player inflicted curse at the cost of one level (and there's also another minor effect of the Orc that I'll leave out). That may not sound too great, but believe me, some curses - especially those in Unnatural Axe - are worth losing a level to avoid. The back of the cards are just ever so slightly different, like a very minor shading difference, so you can quite easily separate the cards back out from your standard Munchkin deck. Definitely recommend buying.
