For anyone looking to connect a 23" Apple Cinema HD Display to a new 2017 iMac, this works perfectly. No flicker or any other issues and it displays at the correct resolution - (1920 x 1200)

Intermittent black screen
This item appeared to be a bargain at first. That is until it began to suffer from an intermittent fault.I have this connected to a brand new 2019 27inch iMac i5 with 40Gb of ram.The external monitor is 2K Dell monitor which has, and still does, work flawlessly with my PC and 2013 Macbook Pro. All of its connections work without any problems (Display port, DVI-D & HDMI).However, when connected to my iMac with this Kanex adapter, the Dell monitor goes black for 1-2 seconds at a time. The fault is intermittent but consistently happens all day, every day.

Not happening
As per the Benfei adapter I tried, this has the same issue of cycling the display on and off every few seconds. I tried 4 different power supplies and three different apple cinema displays, but it's the same with each. I also tried direct from my MacBook pro 15" 2019 and from CalDigit TS3 hub. I have given up and will be returning this :-(
