Sharp
This is my first ceramic knife set. I have been using them daily for about 9 months. First thing you realize is that they are very light. Second, they are sharp. You may have to change your slicing style and forget about the back and forth sawing motion. I mention it because it is a little strange in the beginning that the knife slices through a tomato or potato with a single move. Over the months they got a bit dull but still much better than any knife I owned before. Another thing I want to mention, like almost all the other reviewers mentioned, is that these knives are fragile. I dropped one on the tile floor and it broke into a thousand pieces like a piece of glass. The block that comes with the set is perfect for protecting your knives, it looks good too. Don't forget to unscrew the block and clean it once in a while because the water dripping from the knives keeps accumulating (if you put them in the block without drying). In summary, It is clear that your kids are not gonna inherit this set but I am sure you will enjoy using them.

These are great until the handles crack and they no longer are useful. Used mine only 8 times before having to discard them in the trash.

Good knives... Ugly block
I bought this set based on the fact that my husband prefers ceramic knives, and I like the ease of a knife block. The quality of the knives seem to be good for now, hard to tell yet, since we have only had them for a couple of days. The knife block however is extremely cheap looking. What was meant to be a beautiful addition to my countertop is now an eyesore in the corner.

Cuts Through Anything
This three-knife set features a good array of cutting tools, housed in a lucite holder. The knives work well, and cut through anything easily. I rated it a 4 because the handles are a bit light weight and do not provide the solid grip that I prefer.

Great knives that hold their edge!
I would have paid more had the set included a sharpener. I haven't had a need for a sharpener yet but, I know I will need one someday. Don't use a conventional knife sharpener. Find one that sharpens ceramic knives.

light weight/great cutting edge
I like to use ceramic knives. My mistake, but the paring knife broke at first use. They take a little time to become accustomed to light weight, great cutting edges.

Worth it!
Excellent knives! Cut is really sharp and precise. I'm able remove only the skin from meat with no effort. Or slice vegetables really thin. No more wasting time sharpening old knives. I'm loving those knives.Of course, it is ceramic, so I cannot cut hard parts or use a glass cutting board, but that is not a big deal.

2 of mine broke cutting gouda cheese and no they aren't good for cutting
These knives won't take any tough cutting such as cheddar cheese, the blades will break off just inside the handle, 2 of mine broke cutting gouda cheese and no they aren't good for cutting tomatoes

Not as impressive as imagined
As sad as it is, I was very disappointed on how these knives performed. Sub-par blades, not made to cut tomatoes.
