This gate valve lockout is primarily designed for gate valves with round or oval-shaped handles, hence the circular design of this lockout. It may work on other types of valve handles, depending on the size and shape.

Can this be used outside where it may be exposed to severe weather conditions?

TRADESAFE gate valve lockout is made of industrial-strength ABS plastic, precision-engineered to withstand heavy and repeated industrial applications. It doesn't break nor melt easily and can persist in temperatures ranging from -51 to 300 °F.

Does this lockout tagout valve come with a padlock?

No, this 2-pack gate valve LOTO lock is sold as a single unit. We have lockout locks in different colors available: red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange, black, and white - sold separately.

Can this be used for ON/OFF positions?

Yes. It doesn’t matter what is the position of the gate valve handle as long as the gate valve lockout can fit.

How to install this gate valve lockout?

To install, position the valve lock over the valve handle, then close and secure with a padlock. Ensure that the rear opening of the gate valve lockout used is smaller than the diameter of the valve handle so it cannot be removed when secured.
