OrbitDripMaster 69739 3-in-1 Faucet Adapter

This works as expected
I bought this primarily because it's a pressure regulator with a built in drip line connection. I dislike leaking, and this reduces the number of connections in my drip system. I bought my first one here at amazon for about $12 because I was unsatisfied with the "Raindrip Hose Thread Drip Irrigation Pressure Regulator" available from my local Lowes and Home Depot. That model has a hole on the side which leaks water, and costs ~$7.I'm looking to save water, which is the point of a drip system. As of this review, this thing is selling for just under $5. I'm picking up 3 more.

Bad product
This thing is a good idea (filter/adapter/pressure regulator) but it broke while I was trying to install it. Just tellin' ya.

Sounds like a great idea, but...
The idea is great - an adapter, filter and pressure reducer unit that takes "various" types of 1/2 inch tubing - and it seemed to be exactly what I needed for my soaker hose set-up on the high water pressure from my outdoor tap. I worried that it might blow off on the tap connection side, but it turns out that the tubing connect side is problematic - it blows out any kind of 1/2 inch tubing or hose I have tried (irrigation, standard hose, sprinkler tubing, soaker hose, pex, & even tried clear tubing) - manufacturer will send replacement but says "to be used ONLY with Orbit-brand 1/2 inch tubing"! Possbly my 3-in-1 is defective?

it fits only Orbit's tubing
I didn't realize that tubing from different manufactures are not equal. The outer diameter of Orbit's tubing is greater than Rainbird's. Since this device grabs/retains the tubing by pinching the outside surface, it fails to grip Rainbird tubing.

This design is so bad that I just had to write a review
So, I've never written a review in the many years as an Amazon customer. This design is so bad that I just had to write a review. The engineering theory behind this product is to reduce pressure by having water blow out a hole on the of side it. Wow! Forget about saving water cause half the water going into the reducer just shoots out onto whatever. Again, wow.
