Well made tool, small degree of spread.
Well made tool but the spread, while great for cast spreading, was a little narrow for my purposes.

High Quality, Tight Tolerances, Stainless Steel
The overall quality of this tool is really nice. It's fully deburred, with no sharp edges, and it feels really solid in the hands. Squeezing the handle gives immediate tension against the leaf spring, with only a bit of jerkiness as it slips past the curve of the tool. There's only rattle if you wiggle the handles side to side. Overall, the tolerances are tight, and there's very small gaps between the parts.The tip is a bit slanted with one side sticking out further than the other... I'm not sure if this is on purpose, but it doesn't seem like a negative to me.The one I received measured about 8.75 inches long (un-compressed) and about 4.375 inches wide at the tip of the handles. The spreader tips open up to just about 1 inch when fully compressed, and the jaws are about 0.132 inches thick.The tool is stamped with "SS Pakistan" indicating it's stainless steel... not the strongest of steels (generally speaking), but as long as you don't put too much force into it to bend, it'll last a long time.For lighter to medium duty tasks, this is a fine tool and a good price for the quality. If you intend to abuse it and hammer away with it, you'll need a higher-carbon steel or something more tough than stainless.

Great
This is a much nicer tool than I was expecting. The head always retracts perfecly in line, even when I spread more than I think they should.They have a very good throw, and the head has teeth to make sure it doesn't slip.It feels extremely well made, and very heavy duty.Overall a fantastic tool.Highly recommended.

Cool tool
This is a cool little tool to have. I work on a lot of electronics and this really helps open the cases

Good spreader tool
Well built, solid stainless steel with smooth action, nice mechanical advantage. Fine tips, serrated reverse-jaws.

Too thick to use
The 3 prongs are very thick and will not slide into a freshly cut cast. The prongs need to be significantly thinner
