A great dash cam with some minor issues
This is the best dash cams I've owned the quality of the video and ease of use is pretty darn good. ease of installation is really dependent on the type of vehicle you own and the type of installation you want to do. Do you want all the wires neatly tucked away and hidden or do you want to use the sticky cable retention pieces that are in the box and make it easier. And obviously you can always pay a professional to install. I have three things that I would like to see improved on newer models / 2.01. The power button needs to have some kind of isolating rubber around it or be fixed in place. I have 2 different units and all both of them the button vibrates if the road is rough and gets picked up by the two microphones that are on both sides of the power button. The fix is just put a piece of tape over the power button not tight enough to depress it but enough to stop it from moving around. Wolfbox customer service sent me a replacement unit but it did the same thing the power button is a little loose and gets picked up by the microphones.2. Wolfbox phone app, I have Android so I can't speak to the experience on iOS however for some reason it doesn't allow me to edit the video in the software it keeps saying that this function is not supported when I go to save. It also creates two file locations. one file of the video will be found in the wolfbox app, another one in my Google photos file. However I can't access the Google photos one as it is blank and says cannot be played until I delete the one in the wolfbox app then the one in the Google photos app works fine and can be played then. If I delete the one in the Google photos app first it deletes the one in the wolfbox app kind of confusing but I figured it out. Also sometimes playback in the wolfbox app is laggy.3. This isn't in regards to the camera specifically but to the OEM wolfbox mounts. I have the Jeep one but reading reviews the one that attaches to the window Puck does the same thing. The plastic is pretty thin that mounts to the back of the camera unit it allows vibration into the unit and that can slightly be seen on playback.Overall this is the best camera system I've used it's really nice.. I know some of the stuff I say to the above is some nitpicks I also would like to see the 10-in have the OEM Mount support. I have a 12-in unit and in a jeep my sun visors will hit the unit because it's so wide. I probably would have purchased the 10-in fir the jeep if it could be mounted to the OEM brackets from Wolfbox but for some reason they cannot.I would definitely buy again I've already bought two of them hopefully in a revision they fixed some of the minor issues that I have come across. I also like to see the tri camera unut not be so expensive I really would have liked to get the tri bumper but not for an extra $250 and all it's adding is one camera the front bumper. Also in closing I've been in contact with wolfbox customer service support. Their customer service is probably some of the best I've ever experienced they reply on weekends during the night during the day like they must have somebody on 24-hour customer support. They provided possible solutions to the issues. Some of the suggestions work some of them did not however the unit is still an amazing dash cam it's aesthetically pleasing and an extremely well-functional.

High Quality, Easy Installation, Very Pleased
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Due to cargo inside of my vehicle, I wanted to get a digital rear view camera so I could have a clear view of the traffic behind me. I bought this and installed it. Wow, is it impressive. There are a lot of options so you can customize the mirror to your liking. When you access the menu, be aware that there are 5 lines of icons, but the screen only displays two at a time, you have to swipe up on the mirror to see the other options. I read one of the ONE STAR reviews and someone stated that if you installed the camera on a surface that points toward the sky, the image will be upside down on the mirror and there was no way to flip the image. There is a way to flip the image, but it is on one of the icons that you have to scroll to get to.Installation was one of the easiest car installations that I ever did. Just watch some of the videos within the reviews to see how other people installed it (that's what I did). Also, if you want full functionality and minimal wire, you will likely want to buy the installation kit for wiring the power directly to the fuse box (WOLFBOX USB C Hardwire Kit for G840S). New to me: The installation kit comes with these fuse adapter wires (4 different sizes for different size fuses) where you unplug a fuse, plug the appropriate connection wire into the fuse box, then install the fuse (the one that you removed) into the slot on the connection wire. It was so easy! One of the reviews I read before purchasing said that this unit is so good that if you are thinking about buying it, just do it and you'll be happy. I did it and I am happy! What a great unit.

Everything you want in a dashcam to save windshield space, but it's not perfect.
EDIT: 4/24/2025 After a few emails to Wolfbox's customer service, I learned that the rear camera letters are always backwards and are readable when viewing the playback. I confirmed that this is NORMAL. I thought my unit was not working properly. 4 Stars is where it remains. The model I have is the G840S. I have a 2014 Ford Focus ST and space is limited. Adding a radar detector takes up a lot of viewable area. So when looking for dashcams I came across the mirror dashcams that were offered. There's a lot of cheaper options out there but I am glad I opted for the 12 inch model. The mirror went over the stock one with no issues and the camera had perfect placement. The unboxing is well done. You get a trim tool to assist in tucking in your wires. This version was a little expensive but I think quality wise it looks better than the others I've seen so far. The instructions are not that great but if you look on YouTube, there's a lot of videos that help in the installation. Overall the installation was a breeze and the most challenging part of the install is finding the reverse light positive wire to tap into. In this instance I highly suggest wire taps and a wire stripper to properly connect the camera. I was back and forth regarding the GPS module. I mean I already have GPS on the car but I don't really need another module. I installed it for now. The resolution is really good and so far loving the convenience of a backup camera.EDIT: One day of usage. The rear camera is decent however, I see the license plates reading backwards in the screen. Not a dealbreaker, but no where to fix it. Also the reversing lines have to be adjusted to your car. I have a small car and I needed to really adjust it, also depending on where you mount your rear camera. I mounted mine right below the rear wing inside of the car's hatchback. I could have placed it and installed on the glass, but I didn't think of it until after I drilled holes lol.
