Made in Heaven: A Jewish Wedding Guide

An excellent book was delivered from a company (Geffen) that cared about shipping things out in a timely fashion. They shipped express even though I only paid for regular delivery.

This book was recommended to me by a wonderful Jewish education teacher! I had spoken to her about Jewish wedding traditions and she told me about this book! I couldn’t put it down! I learned all about Jewish marriage and how the traditions are followed from when the couple meets, their courtship, and finally the beautiful wedding celebration.

Great book. Covers everything, including different customs and traditions for different groups (Askenazim, Sefardim, Yemenite, Chassidic etc.)

I originally purchased this book when I was newly engaged, and found it to be such a wonderful guide in helping me to truly understand the significance of a Jewish wedding, and all the details therein.Since that time, I've bought many copies of this book as gifts for newly engaged couples. Just today I reread it for the umpteenth time to see if if would be appropropriate for a non-Orthodox couple who wanted a book about marriage. After having checked out many others, I will again present this one. Every other book I examined couldn't come anywhere near the warmth that this one projects. It will make it very clear to any Jewish couple, religious or not, how their wedding day is a not just a party to share this milestone in their life, but rather a very holy act that can elevate their entire life together.

Everybody told me to get this book. I am not sorry I purchased it. It's by the famous Rabbi Kaplan. And he writes so well, very engaging, and at the same time very practical. It's a gem.

My rabbi recommended this book to my husband and I as we were planning our wedding. It was an absolute treasure trove of tradition. It explained the history and meaning of all the aspects of a traditional Jewish wedding. I think it's a must for any Jewish person planning a wedding whether you're including all the components of a traditional wedding or just a few key ones... the meaning you get from this book will enhance the day.

Very good book for someone learning for their own wedding, or for a friend or family member. Really a great and easy read

Gives a better understanding for the different cutsoms involved in weddings.Allows for a deeper meaning for the wedding ceremony, and marriage throughout.

A lot of detail, but really does explain the background to everything you're about to experience. Definitely worth buying this.
