Yes it does work. The adapter is universal. Yet the cable plug is US obviously. So you would need a us to eu/brit insert or replace with a local cable.

How long of a usb 3.0 A to B cable will this work with? i know it comes with one of these cables, but i need longer reach

For longer reach you need very expensive usb cables like from newnex with passive extenders. They suffice high bandwith requirement for kinect. If you need higher than their standard cables you would need their passive repeater to daish chain to your needed length.
