Works great
For anyone that doesn't know what these are, you plug them into a PC (standard desktop) computer, and they make it so that your computer will have wifi without having to be plugged into the router\modem. It basically makes your PC/desktop connect to the internet but wireless. All you have to do is plug it in, its really easy. As long as you leave it plugged in it works every time connecting you to the internet like a laptop does (or like being directly plugged in to the router\modem does).I mention this because I went to visit a friend, and she had drilled a hole in her ceiling and had wires going up the wall, into the ceiling, then down into her kids room so he could have internet on his PC. She had no idea things like this existed. Neither did her kid. Dongle. Yes, that's really what these devices are called.Anyway! On to my review! A couple of family members kept losing their wifi on their gaming PCs, which as any gamer knows is beyond irritating when you're playing live with other people. One PC was upstairs, and one was downstairs, at opposite ends of the house. I noticed myself and another family member were not having the same problem, but we use laptops, so I figured it couldn't be the router. So I bought one of these for the PC furthest from the router and bam! It's been working like a charm ever since then. I instantly bought another one for the other PC when I saw how well the first one worked. We've had them for months now, no issues whatsoever. No lagging, no dropped games, no buffering. If you need to get wifi to your PC, this is a great dongle for that.

This Saved the Day!
The media could not be loaded. I recommend this Dual Band Wireless USB adapter! I previously purchased a different type of Wireless Router, for my desktop computer, that I had up until about 2 days ago. The issue that caused me to be in the market was my antenna was in the back of my desktop but the signal wasn't strong, so I move it to the front of my computer and it caused another issue; constant contact with the antenna cause malfunction of the device. When I was searching for another Wifi Adapter I needed one that would allow my antenna to be void of consistent contact. Two days without my internet access on my desktop felt like forever. That is why finding this device saved the day it was perfect for what I needed it to do. Awesomeness! This product is the best ever it comes with two different ways to use the device I can connect it to the computer directly or I can use the stand and cable and place my adapter where the signal is stronger and connect the other to the computer. Everything is working like a charm it installed within secs. I love this plug and play.Speed: I noticed right away the less time used on loading pages. I love the fact that it has 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz connectivity. This product is truly a good product, it is not cheaply made and works as described. Well worth the cost.

Gives me the best speeds so far.
I currently have an internal AC wireless card in my Desktop gaming PC, however having a USB WiFi adapter gives you a lot more mounting options to get the best possible signal and performance. The only gripe with this purchase is that the base has a short USB cable, which really limits the mounting options. Otherwise it would be 5 Stars Overall. So I purchased a 6' USB 3.0 extension cable and at first plugged the extension cable into the base. This was not good, as the data transfer rate took a major hit. This cut my speeds almost in half. So instead I plugged the WiFi adapter directly into the extension, which still gave me sufficient length to mount for optimal signal reception. My computer is in my bedroom, which is about 30' from the WiFi Access Point, with a single load bearing wall between. As you can see in my screen shots, my signal is excellent. With this new USB WiFi adapter, I am getting consistent download speeds above 200Mbps. I have AT&T Fiber 300Mbps plan, so am very pleased at over 200Mbps on WiFi. This is even better than I get using a Powerline Ethernet adapter, which is giving me about 150-175Mbps.The 2nd Results screenshot is from my Google Pixel 3, which you can see tops out at around 180ish Mbps.In short, I highly recommend this WiFi adapter. It works really well and is WELL worth the money spent. While I like the base, the cable is tooooo short. The base needs to come with a 6' cable for the best possible mounting options.

This is Amazing - Look no Further!
My son and I were both having tons of problems with WiFi dropout and low reception bars. Two totally different computers, mine is for work, and he is a gamer. I thought it was my modem because we both had problems, but after the company tested everything, it was concluded the modem was fine. So, I searched for the best USB WiFi antenna, and this has good ratings. So, I purchased it and installed it. The install was easy, and the application that came with it, REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility gives a lot of valuable information. The bottom line is, I went straight to 5 bars, and after 6 weeks of constant use, I have not had a single WiFi dropout on my computer!! So, I told my son to buy one and how great it is, so he bought one. After 3 weeks of his intensive gaming, it is the best performance he has ever had, and no longer needs his repeater!! So, don't look any further, this is the best choice you can make, so buy it now!!

Easy to install but does NOT work
At first it worked fine. Then it started to intermittently drop out and finally it quit working and would NOT turn on with a USB 3.0 OR 2.0 connection. I tried everything. This is just another off-brand cheap piece of junk. Take my advice, buy the brands that are major and usually more expensive. I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk level USB 3.0 dongle in a USB 2.0 connection! I'm getting the maximum amount of signal my downstairs router will provide. 50+ mps. I think this unit is around 59 or 69 dollars. It's worth every penny! I will never buy the no name brand stuff again. Netgear, Linksys and believe it or not TP Link has become a very good provider for WiFi antennas and such. And they're still pretty inexpensive. Go with a proven name.
