I purchased one of these to use in one of the Bathroom's in my house, so someone who was taking a shower could listen to their music list while showering or doing their makeup. The In-wall amplifier was super easy to install. I put in an extra deep electrical box, mounted the transformer in the rear of the box, added a switch to work a second pair of speakers, (Which I will probably add to the Kitchen, later), and was able to fit everything in the wall, with nothing interfering down the front of the wall or with the receptacle. I was so surprised at the amplifier, that I purchased a second one to install in one of my rooms where I have a tanning bed. The Amplifier is very strong. In the Bathroom I am only able to run it at 1/2 volume. It powers a Pyle 200 Watt dual channel waterproof speaker and the sound quality is much better than I expected. The "Bluetooth" connects every single time. I have not had a single glitch. When you power the unit on, there is a voice that says "power on" and then "your device is connected". It is a female voice that was a little bit annoying at first, but I have to tell you that I am so impressed with how well the amplifier works that I have gotten used to her. Heheheheh. The Unit works very well. It was very reasonable. I got my first one on sale, paid about $40 bucks for the second one. I bought the transformer off Amazon. Just made sure to match the power output. It cost $12 and I felt was worth it not to have a cord hanging down the front of the wall, and I found a Pyle 200 Watt Dual Channel, waterproof speaker on Amazon, $23. I paid about $5 for the extra deep add-on electrical box, so about $80 total for the entire project

The setup of the system is a bit wonky. it is not capable of handling 110 VAC power on it's own, so you have to buy a hardwired transformer which Amazon's AI system recommend one that works and is fairly cheap. The setup instructions are wrong as the system will go into Bluetooth setup mode on its own and it shows as "BT" not "PYLEUSA" as the manual says it would. The saving grace was Pyle's customer service. Not only were they responsive with a solution to my setup problem that worked, when I didn't respond to them within 2 days they reached out again to make sure my issue was fixed. You don't see customer service like that very often, but when you do it deserves to be praised. I plan on buying a few more of these units. Once you set it up the sound quality is pretty good and for such a tiny system it actually sounds pretty decent.

The good amp produces loud and clear signal. I love it. I was surprised by how well it powered my 6.5" 250W Pyle speakers. If that were the only criterion, I would give it 5 stars. But unfortunately, the other unit was weak. I had to turn the volume knob up all the way to get decent sound - and then when I switched to bluetooth and the robot voice says "Power on" it was way too loud. So I know that the problem with my second unit was strictly with the stereo amp circuitry and not the speakers. But sound quality was not the only defect. When I used the USB port to power my Amazon Echo Dot, the 3.5mm input stereo signal was full of noise (on both units). But since the USB circuitry is not isolated properly from the stereo amplifier, whenever the power is on, there is a buzz in the speakers. However, I tested making a Bluetooth connection to my Amazon Echo Dot while it was plugged into the USB port and there was no noticeable distortion as there was with the 3.5 mm stereo headphone input. In fact, the BT connection is so loud that I have to set the Echo Dot to 30% volume and turn the amp's volume knob almost all the way down. If I were to crank it up all the way, it would surely blow out the speakers - so we will have to be careful. I wish there were a way to tweak the gain to prevent ear and speaker damage. My original review recommended against getting the USB port as a waste of money. If one intends to use the 3.5 mm stereo input, then the USB port is almost certainly unusable. However, with Bluetooth, it turns out to be quite useful and I'm glad I have it. Amazon took back the bad unit with no hassle and I will buy this or similar model to replace the bad unit. Update: I replaced the unit and the new unit generated noise with no USB input at all when it was set to use the stereo input. However, the bluetooth input outputs a clear signal with no noise. I suspect that the circuitry handling the 3.5 mm stereo input signal is sensitive to RF interference. I did not attempt to track down the source of the noise in the second case, but I suspect it is a design flaw in the unit. Be aware when deploying this unit that it can be a problem. For my application, Bluetooth suffices. In fact, it is more convenient than using a wired stereo input. I use an Amazon Echo Dot as the Bluetooth sound source and this allows me to put the Echo Dot anywhere in the room (where the power cable is less noticeable). It also allows me to use my cellphone or laptop as a sound source. If there were a Bluetooth only version of this, I would use that.

This product is a hidden jem! If you are looking to add speakers to a room and not spend hundreds of dollars with a full surround sound system or the like, I would suggest this product. I was looking to add a "stereo" to my workout room that I was building, but instead I found this in wall receiver. This product has met or exceeded all of my requirements for my workout room build. I have 4x250watt speakers (see components) connected to this receiver and they work great and sound crisp. I would suggest buying a 12V power supply (see components) to hide in the wall, the AC Adapter that it comes with just ruins the look of the "In-Wall" plate (see installation tip). Along the lines of the other comments, the internal components do not look as polished or refined as the face of the product, but it still works well. All said and done I have about $120 into a project that others have said look like a $500+ job, so I am pleased with the results. INSTALLATION TIPS: I would suggest buying a 12V transformer to hide in your wall it helps keep the product looking professional and you don't have to worry about wires being pulled out (see link below in components). I would also suggest having a good pair of jewelry or computer tools available, it makes a difference when you are trying to install the small wires and other components like the power supply. Finally, I would suggest you lay out your wiring and give yourself about 6" of extra speaker wire, this allows you to pull out the receiver and work on it after the drywall is in place. I had to do a lot of research because I wanted something that really works. After being tired of the low volume on y cell phone, or having to carry a portable speaker into the shower and then charge it back up it was kind of a hassle. So this unit fiex all of that, the Bluetooth is stable, the range for the bluetooth is very good, the AUX and bluetooth work flawlessly, even though the USB port charges your phone, in my case I installed it in my bathroom and of course I won't ever try to charge my phone while in the bathroom.A mix of Waterand Electricity is never good, so for those who are using this unit in a small bedroom, or living room this unit has a lot to offer. I have attached pictures on the unit placed in my wall and everything is hardwired, the audio cna also be hardwired if you want it to connect it to a tv or something else. Since my bathroom was nex to my laundry area I didn't have a lot of work on trying to find a place to install or run the cable beaceusa my laundry is unfinished. SO far this unit is very good and provides a lot of power to your speaker.

Had some old in-ceiling JBL speakers that were connected to a Bose sound system. These easily connected to the speakers and brought them back to life.

I just got this installed and it was quick and easy. It's really pumping the sound through some ceiling mounted Pyle speakers I ordered with it (PDIC1661RD). I'm at less than half volume and it really fills the 25'x15' room I'm in. Installation was quick and easy. I paired both my phone (Android Pixel 3) and laptop (Macbook Pro) with it - no problems there. The unit is deep - and the speaker wires poke straight out the back. I was going to mount this in a deep single gang retrofit blue outlet box - but I think I'll pull that out and use a low voltage ring instead so I get the full 3.5" inside the wall. You could make a single gang box work though easily enough. I'm going to be running power to it in the back using an LED inverter so I'll have some extra wiring to contend with. Overall really happy with this so far. I can't find my 3.5mm aux cable to test aux input - only tested bluetooth so far. I'll update the review after testing aux.

I purchased 3 of these to power in-wall speakers in my house. I installed and paired with Amazon Echo Dots, which worked great. Power draw is minimal, so I leave them always on so that I can have sound on demand. On two of them, I used Pyle's in-wall switcher in tandem with this amp to allow me to power speakers in multiple rooms. AUDIO QUALITY: Even on short speaker wire runs with shielded wire, the amp produces a hissing noise that does not appear to be correctable. This gets worse the higher you have the volume on the amp. It's particularly annoying if, like me, you leave them on at all times because your speakers will be constantly hissing. SPEAKER WIRE: This amp uses screw post connectors to connect to your speakers, which is suboptimal for stranded wire cable. I'd recommend wire gauge no higher than 16. Anything thicker than that can't fit into the connectors. This could be an issue depending on how long your speaker wire runs are and/or the impedance of your speakers. BLUETOOTH: Audio quality is good using Bluetooth and I haven't had many connection problems, but if you have the ability to connect via the 3.5mm plug, that's preferable both in terms of audio quality and stability of connection. To that end, this amp has +/-/g audio-in leads on the back of the amp that you can use to hardwire a 3.5mm audio plug, which is nice. It would be great to have an optical audio in though. One other Bluetooth drawback: these all have the same Bluetooth ID, so if you have more than one in pair mode, there's no way of knowing which one you're pairing with, and there's no way to customize it. INSTALL: To install in an existing drywall wall, you'll need to pick up an "old work" low voltage wall box from your local hardware store. If you want a clean install (i.e., no wires coming out of the front of the amp), you'll need some way to wire low voltage power to this amp through the wall. An older version of this had red/black 12v leads, which my electrician hardwired to a 120VAC-12VDC transformer. As of 2020, the wire leads have been replaced with a DC power out jack on the back of the amp, which is useful if you have some way of plugging that in to a 120VAC outlet. If not, you'll need to cut off the jack and expose the wire leads. For my application, I had access to 120VAC in the attic above the wall where I was installing this amp, so I was able to get power that way by using the included power block and a 12VDC extension cable. All in all, I'm satisfied with this, though the sound quality could be better. If you're not handy with wiring and/or unwilling to hire someone to install this for you, this might not be the best option for you.

Aunque no lo he podido instalar, me gustó mucho. Lo probé con unas bocinas Pile PDIC60. Buena potencia y buen sonido para una solución de audio de uso moderado. Ojo: está diseñado para empotrar y conectar directamente las bocinas a este dispositivo, con alimentación directa al cableado o con enchufe. Súper recomendado si buscas una solución de audio práctica y sencilla.

Lo uso en la instalación de un equipo audiovisual para un auditorio. Muy bien aspecto y sonido, solo que la recepción de Bluetooth es de corto alcance. Por ese detalle no le doy las 5 estrellas, pero las merece!!

esta un poco molesto el conector a la energia pero aun asi, creo que cumple perfectamente su funcion y se integra super bien a cualquier equipo.
