The Peacegiver: How Christ Offers to Heal Our Hearts and Homes

Life Changing
This book will be one I read over and over again. Completely freed me from any angst over relationships that have caused me turmoil or strife. Jesus Christ paid for it all - the unfairness, the unjustified, the unkind things we as humans do to each other… and once I realized this, I was free. Free to forgive, love, and let go. Cannot thank this author enough for an incredibly powerful book that has truly changed my life forever.

This Book changed my life
This book has helped me twice in my life when I was struggling severely in difficult relationships and needed to Forgive someone for my OWN peace. This book truly gave me peace and showed my a different perspective of the Atonement...how it's power can heal when we are innocent and have been "sinned against." It teaches why it's so crucial to come to a place where we can forgive others...doesn't mean we have to trust them, but Forgiveness is really for ourselves. This book saved me in so many ways and helped me to heal. Can't recommend it enough.

Life Changing Book!
This has got to be my favorite book. It was given to me as a gift for my baptism by my husband's high-school sweetheart of all people. As someone new to Christianity, I really appreciated the way it uses the story to take the reader through the profound principals step by step. When I first picked it up to read it, I had only a very superficial knowledge and understanding of the atonement. It helped me understand things so much deeper, and did it in a very clear way. It spurred new concepts and ideas, and helped me to see life and relationships from a whole new angle. In all honesty, it has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life now.I've read it now about once a year, and my physical copy has highlights and notations all over it. By the 5th read, I can see how some people can be put off a bit by the story (anything from annoying/patronizing dialogue to weak characters) but even so I don't think it's enough to even subtract one star for it. With my highlighted copy I can re-read the parts that helped me the most and skip some of the character dialogue now that I've got a more solid foundation and knowledge of Christianity, so it doesn't bother me. If you're new to the concepts and principals of the atonement, this will guide you through them clearly. If you are more familiar with the atonement and the real reasons forgiveness is more for you than the person you're forgiving, it can still help to shed light on some concepts you may not have thought of, or to clarify and solidify those precepts in your mind. Either way, hands down, it is worth the read.

I have insight on the atonement I've never had before
I loved the story entertwined with the theological insight into Bible stories. This makes me think alot more about what I may need to be more aware of and apologize for.

A must read to help you heal and forgive yourself and others... life changing.
If you are thinking about buying this book, buy it. I have bought over 6 copies, I have read it, my wife has, and I have given it to at least four others as gifts to read. This book is so healing to help the reader forgive themselves and others. It really has had a positive impact on my life that has been long lasting.

Good doctrinal points but over stated
This book is interesting in it's view of the atonement and how it affects others rather than just ourselves but there is not a lot of book for the money. It is quite large print, lots of white space and still not very long. What this is really, is a good talk, expanded to fill a book. However, i did take some good things from it - particularly'being mistreated is the most important condition of mortality, for our very future depends upon how we view those who mistreat us'but it does make it's points in a way that is really just padding.

A fantastic read
I absolutely loved reading this book, I only wish I could get it on my Kindle too. The book explains the atonement and the implications that the atonement has on our every day lives. What is so good about this book is that it explains these things in an easy to read and understandable way. There are very deep and meaningful insights but told in a way that just about anyone could understand in a way that holds your interest and keeps you wanting to read more.

changed my life
I had someone steal a great sum of money from me. I “forgave” them but did I really? I never forgot and it was eating me alive. By a miracle I had this book recommended to me by a bookstore owner, not knowing of my circumstances but aware of the power of the book. It seriously changed my attitude and can say that it freed me from a terrible..self inflicted.. bondage.
