I think this would be very good if you needed a commode in a room or with a toilet if you had a very spacious bathroom. My mother needed it for over the actual toilet when she was released from rehab after suffering a stroke. It was too bulky. We had to get an option with just the supports and not the seat instead.

I was nervous to get this, because some people were saying it was too small. I am 260 lbs 5"3 with a 52 inch waist and 61 inch hips. All that being said, I fit in the seat very well. I even had some extra space on both sides. When I sit down it feels sturdy, and it's easy to use and clean. I think as long as you're under the weight it can bear, you'll be fine.

Really useful after a knee surgery. Put it directly above the bedroom toilet ( didn’t use the bucket ) and it worked great.

I bought this for my wife to use while she is recovering from injuries suffered in an accident. When I assembled it, I was disappointed at how wobbly it was. I think part of the problem is that the manufacturer's decision to go for easy, tool-free assembly has come at the expense of sturdiness. At nearly all the joints between parts, they do not fit tightly enough together to prevent wiggling. The collective effect of all those wiggling joints is to make the entire structure seem unsteady. This might have been avoided if the parts were assembled with nuts and bolts which could be tightened to eliminate any movement, but instead they essentially snap together. I'm sure it won't actually collapse, and in our case it's a temporary need so we can get by with it. But I couldn't recommend this product to anyone who needs it on a longer term basis, and would urge them to find something more sturdy.

First of all this did not LOOK so ugly. I had foot surgery and this was a life saver for a few days. My husband could assemble easily and we have now packed up and stored in its original box. Products offered on Amazon that allowed for easy disposal made this difficult time much easier. I highly recommend
