Strong and reliable!
This is my second Leupold Scope Mount I've bought now and I'm really happy with both. They are light weight which helps with keeping the rifle weight down versus using steel scope rings which adds more weight. The Leupold Scope Mount is also very strong and once properly mounted, it won't move, guaranteed. I've got both of my Leupold Scope Mounts on 308 rifles and after repeated shooting at the range, there's absolutely no problem with scope movement. These scope mounts are very reliable and trustworthy. We're very happy with both purchases and we highly recommend this scope mount!

Will not work with split picatinny rails
I think these mounts are a real value for the price, if they work for your particular situation. That being said, they have a design flaw that precludes their use with (at least some) split picatinny rails. The base has a very small shelf that is machined off-center. This causes one side of the split rail to sit on the shelf and the other side to sit off the shelf effectively canting the mount to one side. I had to machine it to make it work. Pictures make it easier to visualize...

It's leupold.. You know why you're getting it.
Very sturdy, you don't even have to mount it to know that! Also, it's leupold.. Not free from mistakes or failure, but it's in my opinion the equivalent of the Benz of companies. You'll pay more than whatever knock off, but you're going to get that performance. According to several online forums and I believe the q/a section below you can see you don't need to lapp the rings before using. Torque values are on instructions with box. If you're spending this much on just rings you Need to swing the extra money to get a torque wrench.. No excuses! Buy once cry once. Anyways, fits snug, 5 screw mount. So if it moved you probably hit it with a sledge. Can't be easier to install.
