Great Product, would recommend.
Only Con to list is that I broke a screw via over tightening, and I was missing a washer. Shipping box was smaller than I thought and product was packaged nicely. This pull up bar feels much stronger than a previous flimsy version I had. Grips are tight and I haven't noticed any spinning on them. I was nervous reading other comments about it not fitting on certain doorways. My trim is thicker than normal at around 3.5 inches, but the product fits perfectly snug and safe to use. I attached a picture hoping it helps other when ordering.

My new answer to ice cream cravings
I saw this product was available at a discount on the Amazon Warehouse open box site. I have always wanted one but never took the chance to purchase one.The product arrived in its factory case with all parts still wrapped as though they had never been opened. So that was a pleasant surprise as I was expecting it to be used but it looked brand new. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and I had it put together in about 10 minutes. It also came with all the tools you would need to assemble, a hex wrench and an allen wrench.Coincidentally, I installed it above the threshold of our kitchen, mainly because that was the only doorway that didn't have a swinging door. We are still able to walk under it without fear of banging our heads on it, so I plan to leave it up most of the time. So now its very convenient to do a couple pull ups each time I enter the kitchen. My teenagers also get it a try, its the new novelty in the house. "Hey kids, no ice cream until you get your 2-3 pull ups in." I think this is going to work out pretty good.It also came with a nice pamphlet describing several exercises that you can us it for.not just pull up. It can be used for push ups, dips, and to lock your feet for sit ups and crunches.Word of warning - when using for pull ups, remember that once installedit relies on your weight nd downward pressure to keep it locked in the threshold. DO NOT grab the handles and jump upward as it could push up on the device causing it to release from the threshold and come down. This is especially possible for kids that want to jump into a pull up. They could accidentally push up on the device and then fall to the ground. Check to make sure it is secure every time you use it.

Will not fit on an older doorframe. They should have the max size of the door molding listed in the description.

A sturdy product, but after putting it together
A sturdy product, but after putting it together, I discover it will not fit any doorway in my house. The house is older and the trim around the door frames is thick and wide, so the crossbar that should fit onto the door frame doesn't reach. I'm really bummed--was looking forward to using this.

Good pull-up bar, plus a tip on avoiding black marks on your door frame
This product seems to be sturdy and well-made. The finish on the metal is good and the foam padding is high-quality. The instructions were clear and it was easy to put together. I think this is probably one of the best pull-up bars of this type. (And if there's a better one, I'm not sure why you would want it.)Other reviews indicate that it doesn't fit in all door frames, so that's something to check before ordering. One caveat with these sorts of pull-up bars is that they CAN damage your door frame. True, the lever design distributes your weight to different surfaces of the door frame, but the weight still has to go somewhere. The first couple times I used this bar, my door frame made some concerning "cracking" noises. A bit of paint cracked and chipped off due to nearby stress and the part of the frame that the bar hooks onto shifted a small amount. But now that everything has "settled," I feel like I can use the bar without causing any real damage.Another caveat is that the black foam and rubber can leave marks. I've gotten around this problem by taking printer paper and cutting it and taping it around the parts of the bar that make contact with the door frame. This is not a very elegant solution but it works and I suspect that all products with this design suffer from the same problem so I'm not going to take a star off for that. So, if you do buy this product, you might be wise to learn from my experience and tape some printer paper onto the bar before you start using it.

Does not align with floor or door frame but can be fixed.
Very sturdy and easy to put together. But the item that I received was somehow twisted. It is not leveling it self on floor and does not align with the door frame for pull up. There is no place to do adjustment. I will try to do a exchange with amazon'Update:The item is not adjustable. The left and right handelbars are identical. But I switched them in hope to solve the uneven problem and it worked! I hope this can help other buyer who has the same problem.

Defective design?!? - all weight on top trim
I'm returning this because the design seems defective to me. After I assembled and tested it in my 1990's house, it seems that ALL of the weight rests on the top trim piece, which is decorative at best. This may not be a problem in older houses with real frames and actual boards for trim. In my 1990's house with cosmetic trim held with finishing nails and hollow drywall walls, I'm not going to risk putting my >200 lbs on it. Not going to risk busting my rear and my doorframe with this. Also not sure how the drywall would hold up over time.Note, that unless you pull up VERY slowly, the force from dynamic loading the assembly sees much more force than the weight you see on the bathroom scale.

Will not fit doorways in standard wood framed homes.
This will not fit a standard American wood door frame. I have standard 2x4 framed walls, with 4" trim around doors, and it fit none of them. The only doors I could conceive of this fitting are 32" wide doors with 3.25" trim or narrower, or steel-framed doors.. Will not fit any doorway narrower than 29". Instructions in box claim it will fit in doorways 24"-32" wide, yet ends of U-shaped bars are 29" apart and must fit within door frame for it to work properly.

good purchase but still need better design
I luckily found out that this chinup bar fits one door perfectly in my house as shown in picture #1, but there are several things about it which can be better:- the safety wedge shown in picture #2 has no use, because the top trim is tightly attached to the drywall; to solve this problem, it will need a better locking mechanism to hold the bar securely in place so it will not fall by accident;- the connection shown in picture #3 is too weak and flimsy, my weight is 140 lbs, I can see the bar is bending when I use, it's not solid enough, and I have to pull it really slow just in case it will snap, at least it scares me; to solve this problem I have solutions, please contact me if you are interested;- the carriage bolt (2x) shown in picture #4 are too short for using spring washers, I can't use it, it definitely need a longer bolt. But it still works for me, I just have to be very careful.New review after 1 week usage:- it left black marks to the door frame trimming, and the cushion sleeve on the unit seems to be ripped soon as shown in picture #5, it might help a lot with 2 layers of sleeve;- on the long cross bar, all the carriage bolts should be on the opposite side for better safety, see picture #6, because it always faces me when I do dip, pushup and chinup. All these problems are easy to fix, hopefully this product can be better.2019-01-04- It dented the drywall at the top of the door frame, it definitely needs more cushion pad behind the top bar against drywall;- After 1 week usage both cushion sleeves at both ends of the long cross bar are broken at the door trim contact area and loose? I wonder if STAMINA can send me a pair of replacement and let me know what kind of glue I should use to glue them back onto the bar. Thank you.

I like this product a lot
I like this product a lot .... not much wobble at all, seems very sturdy. if i can make any comments its that i wish it was adjustable for the width to fit any door. but that might affect how sturdy it is ..... also i wish it was designed a little better for tall people. I can't use it for dips very well because i'm too tall adn can't go more than 45 degrees arm bend into a dip.For those that don't know .1. You can do situps with this , it holds your legs down2. You can do your pullups/chinups with about 5 grip stances3. You can do pushups with this , with about 3 grip stances4. You can do dips with this but not very effectively unless you're short. I'm 6ft 2 so i only get about a 45 degree arm bend on the dip.

Fine product but doesn't fit condo doors
This one doesn't fit Toronto condominiums, as it requires a 4" deep wall; condo walls are usually only 2" deep. Would have been nice if I had known that before hand. Amazon handled the return beautifully

A whole lot of "meh"
Average build quality. The screws are made of soft metal and strip easily. The whole thing flexes under my weight (185lbs). Not well designed for narrow doorways. Weak plastic construction for the support leaning against the wall (plastic is ok but it the wrong kind, flexible and weak). Unimpressed, can't recommend.

Check your doorways before you order 😉
Holds me up at 230 lbs. Don't really understand what the extra piece to put in the door frame is about. It works fine without it.Easy assembly, great multi use piece.Check that you've got enough room above your trim on the side your door opens to. Needs at least 3 inch gap between trim and ceiling.

SUPER strong and versatile!
Incredible how strong the pull-up bar is. My uncle of over 250lbs easily did pullups on the bar with no flex. The only issue is that the foam pads will leave a black faint mark on the doorframe with constant use.
