Great Grandson Gift
We bought this little robot for our Grandson's 12th birthday who loves anything with a problem to solve or anything to build etc and he loved it!! He built it independently and was impressed by the movement etc.

this is not for children to build and the quality is not there
I guided my son 11yrs while he built this following each step exactly, did a great job, and it took 3hrs.This is meant for a child to spend a long time building to be rewarded with a piece of plastic scrap.my son was very upset after all this effort.I will rebuild this when he is asleep and correct the errors in engineering, all it needs is some plastic spacers to take the slop out, to allow for the teeth to mesh correctly.PARENTS DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, THERE IS VERY LITTLE QUALITY CONTROL BEEN CARRIED OUT.I am a professional engineer, both mechanical and electronics, so when I say the following I am notbeen nasty I am stating facts as I see them. The main failures are as follows:The toy's gearing failed to mesh and it just makes a grinding sound, this is a core part of the engineering for this toy, the fact it was manufactured with this flaw is astounding and pure evil.It gets two stars because the moulding of the plastic parts and the non mechanical parts are toan acceptable standard, just a shame they did not follow through with the mechanical parts.

Requires complex self assembly
I suppose it must have been written somewhere in the description and I missed it. This robot requires self assembly, and it’s pretty complicated, definitely not something a child could do on his or her own. Build quality isn’t great, my son broke one of the electrical connections (it literally ‘came off in his hand’) and we don’t have a soldering iron, so will never know whether the end result is any good. Wouldn’t recommend except for capable diy enthusiasts
