Door Lock for Travel

I recently purchased the ozozo Portable Door Lock for my travels and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the product. I've used this a few times and it works great. It is good to know that someone will not be coming in when you don't want them; it make a person feel more secure. I love the flat design when not in use.

A bit awkward to manipulate taking out the half-moon locking devise. Had to try numerous times which leaves me to believe the difficulty should I wish to unlock the door to let a visitor in. It does work well, though. A keeper.

I haven’t had much success using these at hotels while traveling. What I use this most for is when I am substitute teaching and need to use the high school bathrooms. Many of my local schools have horrifying bathrooms. This was added to my pouch of toilet seat covers, travel toilet tissues, alcohol swabs, and poo spray.

I had no idea how it will work in person. I could not figure it out from the picture. I really could not believe something this small can keep a big door safely closed/ locked. But it does! SO SUPER EASY TO USE! I just had to open the door fully, insert it in the way of the door lock by grabbing it by the little grabber, close the door, insert the coin. done. THE DOOR WON"T OPEN! As long as you have this thingy inserted, no matter if they manage to open the lock the door won't open beyond the coin block because it is physical impossibility to do so. The metal is so solid it would take the door to break before you could break this thing. ADDED SECURITY It made an overnight at the hotel stay much safer. If you don't trust the locks, they keys and the latches, this is really something. A latch can leave a space for the people to see you, this thing won't let the door open at all. PRICE So super friendly. Comparing to many other devices I looked at this was so inexpensive and worked better then those others. SOLID It is very sturdy and solid FITS MOST DOORS I tried many doors to see how it will work and it really works with the most doors. As they said in the description if you can fit a quarter then you are in business. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO "INSTALL IT" AND TAKE IT OUT? To put it in takes five seconds, to take it out takes two seconds. All it took me once I had it in my hand to the door and from the door back out. I REALLY LOVE IT AND I AM VERY HAPPY I GAVE IT A TRY!

The small size is ideal, doesn’t take up room in an overstuffed carry-on bag. The two pieces are attached with a sturdy cord so I don’t lose it misplace a piece. I’ve tried a comparable product that attached its two pieces with something that wore out so I was always fumbling with ‘fixing’ it. This cord is sturdy, perfect length, and flexible so there’s no ‘right way’ to fold it up. It also comes with a convenient pouch which makes it easy to find and grab quickly out of a bag with lots of stuff in it. Without the pouch, it would be easy to overlook. (That sounds insignificant but trust me, it’s a nice bonus.) Compared with what I’ve tried before, this is easier to use, smaller, simpler, and durable. For someone who flys somewhere every week for work, it’s ideal! I highly recommend!

I first gave this a really good review but I'm changing it bc i know it's defective! I was just messing with this lock on my door and i realized if i just yanked back and forth on the door, not even that hard, I can shake the lock right off!!! This shakes the pin off, that is like the actual "blocking" of then it's pretty easy for the flat strip to get shook out of your door jam. Just a few more shaking on the door and DROP... And you're inside, just that fast. So if you didn't lock the handle, there's NOTHING to keep someone out! Scary! And i was able to shake it out in about 3-4 firm pulls and yanking back and forth and 💥, the pin fell out in less than about 2 mins, then tank the flat part out a

This is perfect for that work bathroom that doesn’t have a lock on the door, but has a door handle or knob. (In hindsight, any door that doesn’t have a lock that you want to lock yourself inside of for safety). Practice fitting it the door slot in the door frame, there’s enough leeway for you to hold the edge while the door closes. Stick the little half-moon part in one of the closest skits to the door itself, make sure the slot slides all the way down do it doesn’t come off if/when someone tries to open the door. And boy, will they try!! This thing is pretty strong. Whoever the guy was outside trying to get in left in a huff!

The product arrived incomplete, no claw and no carry case, basically rendering it useless.

The device was well made but the finishing was sharp at the cutting edges. There are no instructions for using this item and it would be even better to provide a bag for storage. On the whole it was easy to store and bring along.
